Dozens of reserve officers and soldiers in the Israeli army's medical corps have declared that they are not prepared to return to combat in the Gaza Strip, according to Hebrew media.
According to the Israeli Broadcasting Authority, the objectors indicated that they oppose the seizure and settlement of areas in Gaza, as well as the lack of progress toward the second phase of the exchange deal.
Meanwhile, protests continue in Israel demanding an agreement to return the hostages.
On Friday evening, demonstrators descended on Ayalon Street in Tel Aviv, blocking it for a few minutes before being dispersed by police, who arrested seven people.
The demonstrators also expressed their rejection of the dismissal of the head of the Shin Bet and the government's legal advisor.
Families and the protest movement called for renewed demonstrations in Tel Aviv and other areas on Saturday evening.
A poll published by Channel 12 showed that 69 percent support a deal to return all hostages in exchange for ending the war.
The same poll also showed that 70 percent do not trust the government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
