The World Food Programme said that all bakeries in the central Gaza Strip have been closed due to severe shortages of supplies.
Bread was often the only food families in Gaza could afford, and now even that is out of reach, the World Food Programme said on its X platform on Friday.
The programme called for ensuring the delivery of vital humanitarian aid to Gaza.
