The Secretary General of Doctors Without Borders, Christopher Lockyer, described the humanitarian and health situation in the Gaza Strip as catastrophic.
Lockyer added, in a press statement, today, Friday, that "there is no security or safety for health sector workers while performing their duty."
He stressed that "Israel uses humanitarian aid as a tool for political propaganda, and that it does not allow the entry of necessary materials into the Strip."
Lockyer also stressed that "international humanitarian law guarantees the entry of aid and guarantees the lives and security of health and humanitarian workers, and this did not happen."
