Lebanon has filed a new complaint to the UN Security Council regarding the Israeli warplanes’ violation of the sound barrier over Lebanese regions, including the capital Beirut.
The Lebanese Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Monday that "Lebanon condemned in the text of the complaint the violations that constitute a flagrant violation of Lebanon's sovereignty and airspace and of Security Council Resolution 1701, in addition to its violation of a number of provisions of international humanitarian law, which prohibits the methods of collective punishment and moral intimidation practiced by Israel by terrorizing all civilians and spreading panic among them, which particularly affects the most vulnerable segments of society such as children."
