The Israeli military police arrested a number of reserve soldiers for investigation, on Monday, against the backdrop of accusations of physical and sexual torture of Palestinian detainees in the "Sde Teiman" prison.
The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation reported that clashes took place in the Sde Teiman prison in the Negev between investigators and Israeli soldiers from a unit accused of abusing Palestinian prisoners.
The commission said that soldiers accused of abusing prisoners in prison refused to cooperate with the military police.
Hebrew media reported that a prisoner was transferred to the hospital after being assaulted in Sde Teiman prison.
"The scene of military police officers arriving to arrest heroes at the Sde Teiman camp in the Negev is extremely shameful," said extremist Israeli Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.
