The Palestinian Ministry of Education announced that 10,000 students and 400 teachers were killed in the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7.
Palestinian Minister of Education, Amjad Barham, said at a conference announcing the results of the first round of high school exams in the West Bank, excluding the Gaza Strip, that “39,000 high school students from the Gaza Strip did not take the high school exam this year due to the ongoing aggression of the occupation.”
He added that the occupation "deprived 10,000 school and university students in the Gaza Strip of their right to life, including 450 high school students, in addition to the martyrdom of 400 teachers."
He pointed out that "about 50 thousand male and female students from the West Bank and those present in some countries (Turkey, Qatar, Romania, Bulgaria, and Russia) took the high school exams this year.
