The occupation army demanded that the remaining Palestinians in the southern neighborhoods of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip evacuate immediately, in preparation for a military operation.
"In light of the numerous terrorist activities and rocket fire towards the State of Israel from within the western neighborhoods of Khan Yunis, it has become dangerous to be present in that area," the army said in a statement. "Therefore, at this stage, the area will be adjusted based on accurate intelligence indicating that Hamas has established terrorist infrastructure within the area that has been designated as a humanitarian zone."
It added that the occupation army will operate "forcefully" in the area, "and therefore calls on the residents who remained in the southern neighborhoods of Khan Yunis to evacuate them immediately and move temporarily to the newly created humanitarian area in the Mawasi area."
