The Israeli Minister of Security, Yoav Galant, said that the occupation army “is eliminating Hamas militarily, considering that this “creates the conditions” to bring a situation closer to reaching a prisoner exchange deal between Israel and the Hamas movement.
This came during an assessment of the situation conducted by Gallant, in the Rafah area, south of Gaza, on the 291st day of the Israeli war on the Strip, according to a statement issued by his office, today, Tuesday, indicating that the assessment of the situation witnessed the participation of “the commander of the 162nd Division, the commander of the ‘Givati’ Brigade, and the commander of 401st Brigade" and other military officials.
According to the statement, “Gallant listened to an overview of the operations to dismantle the Rafah Brigade and destroy tunnels in the region, with a focus on the Philadelphia axis.” The statement stated that Gallant "stressed the necessity of resolving the Rafah brigade."
