The Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philip Lazzarini, said that the Israeli authorities prevented him from entering the Gaza Strip for the second time since the outbreak of war on October 7.
“This week, they refused - for the second time - my entry into Gaza where I intended to be with our UNRWA colleagues including those on the front lines,” Lazzarini wrote on X.
He continued, "In the past two weeks alone, we recorded 10 incidents that included shooting at convoys and arrests of United Nations employees that included bullying, stripping them of their clothes, threats with weapons, and long delays at checkpoints, which forced convoys to move in the dark or abort their mission."
