US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan confirmed that the outcome of the negotiations in Cairo that would lead to a ceasefire in Gaza cannot be predicted.
Sullivan stated that the negotiations have reached the halfway point, and that they are in the process of receiving Hamas' response.
Sullivan renewed US concerns about launching a ground attack on Rafah.
Israeli Military Council member Benny Gantz said: “We have not received an official response from Hamas yet, and when we receive the response, the Military Council will convene to discuss it.”
Earlier, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken renewed his acquittal of Tel Aviv of obstructing the exchange deal that has been being negotiated for several months with Qatari-Egyptian-American mediation, repeating the accusation of Hamas of obstructing the deal.
