Denmark joined the European Union in calling on Israel to withdraw its decision to build new housing units in settlements in the occupied West Bank.
Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løke Rasmussen stated on Saturday, in a post on the Danish Foreign Ministry’s account on the X platform, that his country “participates with the European Union in calling on Israel to withdraw its recent approval to build 3,426 new housing units in settlements in the occupied West Bank.”
Denmark reiterated that the new settlements are “illegal” under international law, and described the expansion as “a major obstacle to peace.”
