Civil Defense spokesman, Major Mahmoud Bassal, said on Sunday, “The method of using aid drops via international relief planes did not reduce the famine crisis that our people are suffering from, but rather increased the number of victims searching for a living.”
Basal stressed in a statement that the continuation of this method of providing relief to citizens has caused a number of casualties and injuries among citizens, stressing the need to search for radical solutions to prove the futility of this method.
He called for the necessity of working to bring aid through the Gaza Strip’s ports and deliver it in a safe manner to all besieged citizens to avoid further casualties.
