Today, Saturday, the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat, accused Israel of “mass murder of Palestinians,” after more than 115 people were killed by Israeli fire while gathering to obtain aid in the Gaza Strip, and called for an international investigation.
The union said in a statement dated Friday and published Saturday on the “X” platform, “Muhammad strongly condemns an attack launched by Israeli forces that led to the death and injury of more than 100 Palestinians searching for life-saving humanitarian aid.”
The statement added, "Mohamed calls for an international investigation to hold the perpetrators accountable" and urges "an immediate and unconditional ceasefire."
