Palestinian Red Crescent calls on international community to provide urgent protection to Al-Quds Hospital in Gaza

The Palestine Red Crescent Society called on the international community and partners in the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement to intervene immediately and urgently to protect Al-Quds Hospital and its medical staff, in addition to the 500 patients and more than 14,000 displaced persons present there, in accordance with international humanitarian law and the Fourth Geneva Convention.

The association denounced the occupation tanks besieging Al-Quds Hospital and shooting directly at it, causing a number of injuries that are not yet known, in addition to a state of panic and extreme fear among the ranks of the displaced, the majority of whom are children and women.

Red Crescent expressed her deep concern for the safety of her medical staff working in the hospital, especially with the continued interruption of internet and communications services for the fourth day in a row and with the hospital continuing to be isolated from its surroundings for the sixth day in a row, as a result of the closure of all roads leading to it due to the continuous bombing, which led to the destruction of buildings. And the surrounding streets.
