Dozens of Israeli settlers storm Al-Aqsa Mosque

Today, Tuesday, dozens of settlers stormed the Holy Al-Aqsa Mosque, under the protection of the Israeli occupation police.

The worshipers said that the settlers stormed Al-Aqsa from the direction of the Mughariba Gate, carried out provocative rounds in its courtyards, and performed Talmudic rituals in the vicinity of the Bab Al-Rahma prayer hall. Meanwhile, the occupation police tightened its military measures around Al-Aqsa.

Pictures were published on social media of members of the occupation police taking pictures while eating in the courtyard of the Dome of the Rock inside Al-Aqsa Mosque.

It is noteworthy that the occupation continues to restrict worshipers, but the measures have become more brutal since the start of the aggression on the Gaza Strip on the seventh of last October.

Hamas Chief Haniyeh: Hamas is close to reaching an agreement on a truce with Israel

Ismail Haniyeh, head of the Hamas political bureau, said that the movement is “close to reaching a truce agreement” with Israel, while the attack on Gaza and the firing of rockets at Israel continue.

Haniyeh said in a statement sent by one of his aides to Reuters, “The movement has delivered its response to Qatar and the mediators, and we are close to reaching a truce agreement.”

No further details were provided about the terms of the potential agreement.

US President Joe Biden said on Monday that he believes an agreement is close. “We are closer now than we were before,” White House spokesman John Kirby said of the agreement, which aims to secure the release of some detainees in Gaza and declare a truce that would allow the delivery of much-needed aid to the besieged Gaza Strip.

Hamas detained about 240 people during the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation against Israel on October 7, which resulted in the deaths of 1,200 people.

The Geneva-based International Committee of the Free Cross said in a statement that Mirjana Spoljaric, head of the committee, met in Qatar on Monday with Ismail Haniyeh, head of the Hamas political bureau, “to achieve progress regarding humanitarian issues” related to the conflict. She also met separately with the Qatari authorities.

The organization said that it did not participate in the negotiations aimed at releasing the detainees. But it added that it was ready to “facilitate any future release agreed upon by both parties” as a neutral mediator.

There has been talk of an imminent deal regarding the detainees for days.

Reuters reported last week, citing an official familiar with the talks, that Qatari mediators were seeking to reach an agreement between Hamas and Israel to release 50 detainees in exchange for a three-day truce that would facilitate the arrival of emergency aid shipments to civilians in Gaza.

Israeli Ambassador to the United States Michael Herzog said on ABC's "This Week" program on Sunday that he hopes to reach an agreement "in the coming days," while Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani said the points... The remaining barb is “very minor.”

It seemed earlier that an agreement was imminent.

“Delicate negotiations like this could collapse at the last minute,” White House Deputy National Security Advisor John Feiner told NBC’s “Meet the Press” on Sunday.

The Hamas government said that at least 13,300 Palestinians were killed, including 5,600 children and at least 3,550 women, due to ongoing Israeli bombing.

“Song of Evil”...a clip for Israeli children calling for the “extermination of Gaza”

A song titled “Children of the Victory Generation” by a group of young people in Israel has recently spread on Hebrew social media platforms, in which they urge the occupation soldiers to annihilate everything in Gaza.

The official Israeli Broadcasting Corporation, Kan, broadcast the song under the title “We will annihilate everyone in Gaza,” but it was later forced to delete the clip after it sparked angry international responses.

The lyrics of the song "Children of the Victory Generation" express support for the Israeli army soldiers and security forces, and urge children in Israel in particular, and all Jews in general, to destroy the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).

The Israeli Authority described the racist song as a “friendship song,” stressing that “its new words express the children of the victorious generation, and that within a year there will be nothing left there (referring to the annihilation of everything in Gaza), and these children will return to their homes (the Gaza envelope settlements).” The world will watch how we eliminate our enemy (the Palestinians).”

According to Hebrew media, the new song is a modified version of the song “Evils,” written by the late Israeli Haim Guri.

The new version of the song is performed by Israeli children between the ages of 6 and 12, and “all of these children were evacuated from their homes in the settlements surrounding the Gaza Strip about 45 days ago,” according to the Hebrew media.

The new song was processed and produced by the Rosenbaum Communications Group, and its lyrics were written by Ofer Rosenbaum and Shulamit Stolero, who stressed their keenness not to change the chorus (musical band) of the song “Evils,” which is known in every home in Israel.

The author of the new song, Ofer Rosenbaum, told Hebrew media, “The children of the clip are the generation of victory. These children stand strong, proud, and love their country. They have only one request, which will not be repeated again: The State of Israel owes them, their families, and all citizens security, and we will not achieve this.” Security can only be achieved by achieving complete victory in Gaza without any concessions.”

One of the children participating in the song, Aden Nizov (11 years old), from the Sderot settlement, said, “I know and believe that our soldiers will defeat the terrorists, my city will return and flourish, and I will be able to return to my home.”

The new song included an explicit call for genocide under the name “friendship,” interspersed with scenes in which tears were shed and funerals were held for soldiers, and in which the air raids on Gaza were likened to autumn.

The song's video received harsh criticism and sparked widespread controversy, as activists considered that Israel's drift and persistence in its crimes had reached the point of inciting hatred in the words of its children as well, deploring the humanity that the song's lyrics lacked.

Israeli Journalist Dan Cohen, through his account on the “X” platform, wondered why the occupation indoctrinates children with hatred.

While geopolitical analyst Patrick Henningsen commented, "Americans need to understand that Zionism is a racist and genocidal ideology, just like any other movement or sect of racial superiority."

Activist Lima Pal said, “What children learn from the methods of war is to give priority to destruction and killing, and to support war and genocide!”

Children in the Gaza Strip are subjected to severe suffering as a result of the war waged by the Israeli occupation on the Strip, as thousands of them were martyred and injured due to the violent bombing targeting homes, schools and hospitals.

The tragedy of children in Gaza increases in light of the stifling Israeli siege and the starvation policy practiced by the occupation against them, as it cut off electricity, water and food from them.

The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) condemned the grave violations to which children in the Gaza Strip were exposed during the Israeli war, and stressed that there is no safe place for them to seek refuge, and that the number of children killed in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the war exceeded 5,000, while the number of young children injured exceeded 9. Thousands.

UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell stated that violations against Gaza's children include killing, mutilation, kidnapping, targeting schools and hospitals, and preventing the arrival of humanitarian aid, all of which are condemned by the international organization.

A Hebrew channel reveals an Israeli plan that would lead to a clash with Egypt

Israeli operations continue in Gaza, and the Israeli siege imposed on the Gaza Strip continues. However, Israeli plans for the future of the region after the ground invasion are still not clear or final, and it is not known whether Israel will remain in the Gaza Strip or withdraw from it immediately after the operations end.

In this context, press reports expect that Israel will insist on its forces remaining in the Philadelphia axis, separating the Gaza Strip and Egypt, at the end of the war on Gaza, “despite the enormous complications related to that,” according to what Channel 12 reported, because such an Israeli plan would Leading to a clash between Egypt and Israel.

The channel added that, after the end of the war, the Israeli security service will demand to know the arrangements related to rebuilding the Rafah crossing, and to develop a plan to monitor what is happening there, “in cooperation with Egypt and with the assistance of other parties that will help ensure stability and security in this region.”

According to the channel, the resistance factions in the Gaza Strip have tried in recent years to “dig tunnels and smuggle weapons” in the Philadelphia axis, “but the Egyptian army thwarted the overwhelming majority of them.” The channel claimed that "similar smuggling attempts were recorded at the Rafah crossing as well, using (relief) trucks that entered the Gaza Strip."

Meanwhile, the Israeli army is anticipating a five-day ceasefire that will accompany the implementation of a prisoner exchange deal between Israel and Hamas. The army's main fear is to re-equip Israeli forces to fight after the truce.

The channel added that the Israeli army considers that "re-mobilizing the soldiers and returning them to fighting in a more intense, vigilant and professional manner is a major challenge for the officers."

There is a conflict of views about the future of Gaza after the end of the war between Hamas and the Israeli army, and there are several scenarios proposed regarding the security formula that will be adopted, but none of them is final.

He has been calling for normalization for 50 years. A famous Egyptian writer apologizes to Gaza and its martyrs for his “good thoughts.”

The well-known Egyptian writer, researcher, and politician Osama Al-Ghazali Harb presented an explicit apology for normalization with the Israeli occupation, and for his calls for normalization with the occupation over the past fifty years, and he directed his apology to Egypt, Palestine, the people of Gaza, its martyrs, its men and its women for his position on Israel.

Osama Al-Ghazali said in his article that he published in Al-Ahram on Sunday, November 19, 2023: “This is an apology that I announce - I, Osama Al-Ghazali Harb - the writer of these words, for the position I took, as one of the intellectuals of Egypt and the Arab world, regarding the Arab-Israeli conflict.”

Al-Ghazali Harb added: “After half a century of living together and hundreds of studies, scientific research, newspaper articles, press interviews, and field visits! I remember the events of the tripartite aggression in which Israel participated against Egypt and the occupation of Sinai in 1956. I remember in detail the events of the bitter defeat in 1967. And I remember the days of the War of Attrition.” , which was followed by the glorious October War in 1973. I followed - not only as a citizen, but also as a student of political science - the courageous peace initiative announced by President Sadat and the subsequent peace agreements with Israel.”

Al-Ghazali Harb also said in his article: “Following that initiative, I visited Israel with a delegation headed by the late, great Dr. Osama El-Baz. I was optimistic after the signing of the peace agreements with Jordan (1994) and then with the PLO between Yasser Arafat and Yitzhak Rabin (Oslo 1, Oslo 2) under American sponsorship.” It subsequently endured condemnations from opponents of (normalization) from Egyptian intellectuals and professional unions, led by the Journalists Syndicate.

He also wrote: “My opinion was that after Egypt regained every inch of its land, holding its head high and affirming its dignity, it could establish and build official peace relations, with the established right of the Egyptian citizen to accept or reject them... and I was among those who accepted them, optimistic that these steps would contribute to complete peace that restores the Palestinians’ stolen rights!

He added in his article: “Today, I have followed with anger, indignation, and pain the crimes and atrocities that have happened and are still happening in Gaza that devastate humanity, in which thousands of children and women are killed, homes and buildings are destroyed over people’s heads, and the corpses of innocent people are lined up with no one to be found to bury them."

He added: "I say that I apologize for my good opinion of the Israelis, who revealed a hateful, criminal racist spirit. I apologize to the martyrs of Gaza, and to every Palestinian child, woman, and man. I apologize!"

The apology article written by Osama Al-Ghazali Harb sparked controversy among Egyptians, and journalists close to the authorities expressed their praise for “Harb’s” position. Journalist and parliamentarian Mustafa Bakri praised the apology of journalist writer Dr. Osama Al-Ghazali Harb, for his support for normalization with Israel, and his remorse for having good faith in making peace with it, after the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip revealed its aggression and genocide against the Palestinians.

Bakri said, in a post on the X website: “The apology of the great journalist, Dr. Osama Al-Ghazali Harb, for his support for normalization with the Zionist entity and his visit to Tel Aviv earlier, is a courageous and respectable position.”

As for the Egyptian writer Hamdi Rizk, he wrote in an article in “Al-Masry Al-Youm”: “With courage and ability, the great writer, Dr. Osama Al-Ghazali Harb, came out to us with an apology for his good opinion of the Israelis over the past half-century. The apology was published in (Al-Ahram) and marked with his signature, under a completely expressive title (an apology) for what he thought, appreciated, worked on, and agreed upon for part of his life.”

He added: “I wish the group (the new normalizers) and those who are on the fast path to normalization, and who repeat the Israeli narrative in absentia, like a parrot with its mind in its ears, would read the words of one of the fathers of normalization and its thinkers, and learn from the disappointment of the first normalizers.”

The BRICS group holds a summit on Gaza on Tuesday with the participation of the Chinese and Russian presidents

Tomorrow, Tuesday, South Africa will chair an extraordinary virtual summit of the BRICS countries, which it includes along with Brazil, Russia, India, and China, devoted to discussing the Israeli war on Gaza and “the situation in Gaza and the Middle East.”

The presidency in Pretoria said on Monday that South African President Cyril Ramaphosa called, “in his capacity as Chairman of the BRICS group,” to hold an extraordinary joint meeting on the situation in Gaza on Tuesday at 12:00 GMT.

In turn, Chinese television announced that President Xi Jinping will participate in the BRICS summit via video, and will deliver a speech during the summit.

The Kremlin announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin will participate in the meeting. He said in a statement, “On November 21, the Russian President will participate in an extraordinary BRICS summit (via video technology) to discuss the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.”

After the Israeli occupation began its war on Gaza, on October 7, the Kremlin called for a ceasefire, stressing that the only way to achieve permanent peace in the Middle East is to establish a Palestinian state.

The Israeli war on the Gaza Strip entered its forty-fifth day, and left behind a large number of massacres, which have claimed the lives of more than 13 thousand martyrs to date, most of them children and women.

Putin held the United States responsible for the bloody conflict, and accused it of monopolizing the Israeli-Palestinian peace process for years without succeeding in finding solutions.

The remaining heads of state of the BRICS group will participate in the virtual meeting, in addition to representatives of the countries that were invited to join in January during the group’s last summit in Johannesburg, namely Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, and the UAE.

The President of South Africa will open this meeting, in which each country present will have a speech, according to a presidential statement.

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres will also attend the meeting, at the end of which the leaders are expected to adopt a “joint statement on the situation in the Middle East, especially in Gaza.”

Ramaphosa had previously announced that his country had submitted a complaint to the International Criminal Court in order to investigate war crimes committed by the Israeli occupation in the Gaza Strip. He said that his country believes that Israel is committing war crimes and genocide in the Gaza Strip, in which thousands of Palestinians were killed, in addition to the destruction of hospitals and public infrastructure.

The Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Karim Khan, said last Friday that he had received a request from five countries to investigate the situation in the Palestinian territories.

Karim Khan confirmed that the request came from South Africa, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Comoros and Djibouti.

The South African government announced, at the beginning of this month, the recall of its diplomats in Tel Aviv for consultations, expressing its concern about the atrocities committed by the Israeli occupation in Gaza.

Israeli green light for a prisoner exchange deal with Hamas

The official Israeli Broadcasting Corporation reported, on Monday evening, that Israel had given the green light to a prisoner exchange deal with the Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas,” indicating that Tel Aviv was now awaiting the movement’s response.

The revelation of these developments comes shortly after the Israeli War Council met to discuss a prisoner exchange deal with Hamas, while the families of prisoners and detainees gathered in front of the meeting hall in Tel Aviv, and many of them were not allowed to enter the hall due to its narrowness.

The revelation of the Israeli green light on a prisoner exchange deal also coincides with US President Joe Biden’s expression, on Monday evening, of his belief that reaching an agreement to secure the release of prisoners and detainees held by Hamas in Gaza is imminent.

On the sidelines of a ceremony held at the White House, a journalist asked Biden: “Is there an imminent agreement to release the hostages?” The US President replied: “I think so.”

Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani confirmed during a joint press conference with European Union foreign policy chief Josep Borrell yesterday, Sunday, that the deal for prisoners and detainees “is going through difficulties, but we are more confident that we are close to the return of people to their homes.” .

The Qatari Prime Minister, whose country is making major efforts to reach an exchange deal, added that "the negotiations have a long path, and we are getting close to the goal, and the outstanding points are logistical and not fundamental."

For its part, Maariv newspaper previously quoted sources familiar with the discussions as saying that the Hamas movement had agreed “in principle” to increase the number of Israeli detainees that the movement intends to release to more than 50 women and children, in exchange for a five-day ceasefire period. .

This comes as disagreements worsen within the Israeli government regarding the status of the file of detainees and prisoners in the war that Israel has been waging since the 7th of last October in the Gaza Strip, as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Galant tend to give priority to “eliminating the Hamas movement.” In the war, while the head of the “official camp,” Minister Benny Gantz, believes that the priority should be the prisoners’ file.

Regarding the delay in completing the deal that has been talked about for days, Channel 13 commentator Rafif Druker said in an article published by Haaretz newspaper today, Monday, that “Netanyahu is trying to prolong the war for as long as possible to serve his political interests, and this is the reason behind “Leaks from his close associates indicate that the prisoner exchange deal has not been completed yet.”

Drucker stressed that Netanyahu is interested in continuing the war under the slogan of "working to collapse the Hamas movement, no matter how long it takes to prolong the fighting" in the Gaza Strip.

Biden's position against the settlers!

Translation for "Al-Quds" dot com

Translation for "Al-Quds" dot com

Opinion Writer

By Suhail Kiwan

In this article, Biden wanted to alleviate the growing opposition within America to his approach and his complicit and partner position in the war of extermination in the Gaza Strip, and his position as the next president of the United States has become threatened because of his ugly, racist and criminal stance on this war...

US President Joe Biden issued a statement in which he said that he would take measures against extremist settlers in the West Bank, and asked Netanyahu to work to stop their attacks on Palestinians and their property, and hinted at economic sanctions on the accounts of some of them, and it was reported by the Arab media with great interest.

In his article published in the Washington Post two days ago, he clarified his positions and said that the Palestinians deserve to have a state and a future, but without Hamas, and that Gaza should not be used as a platform for terrorism. On the other hand, and in order to appear balanced, he said that Israel must settler violence stopped,

Will we witness a new American position on the occupation in the West Bank at least?

Although the sanctions he threatens against the settlers are of no practical value, this position shows that Biden is fair to the Palestinians who suffer from daily settler attacks, which reach the point of murder, and who wish to find a great supporter for them, such as the President of America, who is the only one capable of putting pressure on the government of Israel.

Of course, this is a good decision in itself, but it is a right intended for a wrong, such as European and Arab positions that have now woken up demanding a two-state solution, including those calling for research into the Israeli nuclear file, to abandon the war of ethnic genocide in the Gaza Strip, some of which they criticize.

Joe Biden's position on settlements was not clear before the war of extermination that is taking place in the Gaza Strip, which he himself still refuses to stop by obstructing any international resolution calling for a ceasefire, despite many calls to it from Arab presidents and officials, and countries which consider themselves favored by America and its administration.

Also, he wants to say to the Palestinian people in the West Bank that their status with America is different from the people in the Gaza Strip, because the people of Gaza embrace “terrorists” and therefore, they bear responsibility for what happened and is happening there, but in the West Bank the matter is different, meaning that Biden seeks to drove a wedge between of one people, as he stands with the moderates among them, but he only punishes the extremists.

In addition, this position is directed at the Arab regimes loyal to America and seeking normalization with Israel, and with which it has peace agreements, and which demand that he put pressure to stop the ethnic genocide that puts these regimes in a position of humiliation and cowardice. He wants to tell them that he did something positive towards the Palestinians, and these regimes can now appear to their people as if they have achieved something important through it for the benefit of the Palestinians, as they reject the aggressive actions of the settlers.

Also, this is a message to the Netanyahu government, which represents the settlers, that the war must remain confined to the Gaza Strip in order to complete the mission without expanding it.

There is no need to blow up the situation in the West Bank, because this may complicate the matter with Jordan, as popular and official voices are rising, demanding a freeze the Wadi Araba Agreement, and the cancellation of economic agreements that were intended to be signed.

Biden wants to create the illusion that America is seriously seeking to resolve the conflict, after the end of the war “by defeating and eradicating Hamas,” and then the Palestinian Authority will have its role, but in order not to anger Netanyahu, he wants it to be an “occupying” authority, meaning that America is looking for an alternative to Mahmoud Abbas, who is not satisfied with him. For Netanyahu, and for large segments of the Palestinian people, he wants a personality acceptable to the Palestinians as well as to the Israelis so that they can deal with him.

Biden seeks to justify his position, which has been imprinted on everything uttered by the Israeli military spokesman since the beginning of the war, and he adopts the Israelis’ narrative without any doubt about the validity of any detail, and even with false testimony that the Pentagon examined the matter, as in the Baptist massacre missile. He put himself and America’s enormous capabilities at the service of Israeli media recruited for the war of extermination of the Palestinians.

By Ben Samuels & Amir Tibon

U.S. officials believe that Jerusalem's attitude toward the Palestinian Authority would soften if it agreed to stop acting against Israel in international bodies and ended its highly contentious payment system for convicted murderers in Israeli prisons.

The Biden administration believes Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Israeli government would agree to the Palestinian Authority eventually assuming control over post-war Gaza if specific policy changes are instituted, according to U.S. and Israeli officials.

U.S. officials believe that Jerusalem's attitude toward the Palestinian Authority would soften if it agreed to stop acting against Israel in international bodies and ended its highly contentious payment system for convicted murderers in Israeli prisons.

Despite Israel's public opposition to allowing the PA to control Gaza, U.S. officials say it has not presented any alternative for post-war Gaza's leadership. Key Arab states, including Gulf countries with whom Israel wants to continue pursuing political rapprochement, support the option of the West Bank and Gaza being governed together under the authority of the PA.

"As we strive for peace, Gaza and the West Bank should be reunited under a single governance structure, ultimately under a revitalized Palestinian Authority, as we all work toward a two-state solution," Biden wrote in the Washington Post on Saturday.

During his visit to Israel and several Arab states last week, Brett McGurk, Biden's top Middle East advisor, dedicated particular focus to the war's aftermath and possible arrangements for Gaza's future leadership structure.

In the upcoming weeks, U.S. officials plan to delve further into Israel's demands from the PA and the PA's potential ability to meet them to pave the way for an eventual assumption of power in Gaza with international backing.

Netanyahu has repeatedly attacked the PA since October 7, highlighting its payment system for Palestinian prisoners in Israel, including those convicted of murder and terrorism. He has also emphasized antisemitic incitement within the PA and its refusal to condemn the October 7 Hamas attack forcefully.

The prisoner payment system is directly related to the PA's relationship with the U.S., which passed a law in 2017 called the Taylor Force Act prohibiting direct U.S. funding as long as this system remains in place. Resolving this issue would let the Biden administration resume direct financial support for the PA and strengthen it as part of the eventual power transfer process.

Despite Netanyahu's public opposition, U.S. officials believe changes in the PA's conduct could sway Netanyahu – particularly if he can portray them as an "achievement" to the Israeli voting public.

The Biden administration is acutely aware of the significant difficulties Netanyahu would have in convincing his far-right coalition partners.

Senior U.S. officials who visited Israel last week explicitly warned about the Palestinian Authority's potential collapse and the threat of a "second front" opening in the West Bank. They also warned that Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich's attempts to sabotage the PA could lead to a severe deterioration of security and harm the political support Israel has enjoyed so far.

The Biden administration is also concerned about rising violence in the West Bank, particularly attacks by extremist Israelis in illegal outposts on Palestinian civilians. These incidents receive extensive coverage in Palestinian media, and U.S. officials see them as boosting support in the West Bank for Hamas and other terror groups.

Biden wrote in the Washington Post that the U.S. is prepared to issue visa bans on settlers who attack Palestinian civilians, an unprecedented statement from an American president.

"The Palestinian Authority, throughout this period of crisis since October 7, has continued to work to provide security in the West Bank and has continued to cooperate with Israeli defense forces on the provision of security… even though they are under incredible pressure inside their own communities not to do that, quite candidly," U.S. Deputy National Security Advisor Jon Finer told CBS' Face the Nation on Sunday. "Our view is the Palestinian Authority is the only official institutional representative of the Palestinian people in the West Bank."

Jordanian army reinforcements on the border with Palestine.. What is happening?

A circulating video regarding the Jordanian army sending reinforcements to the border with Palestine sparked great interaction from active users on social media. The video shows scenes of tanks, troop carriers, and Jordanian military reinforcements on their way to the border. The video also shows the positioning of Jordanian army forces in the western border areas.

Journalist Samir Al-Hiyari pointed out that the Jordanian military movements on the border with Palestine are “a message to the Israeli enemy that Jordan is ready for war if the plan to displace the Palestinians from the West Bank towards Jordanian lands is implemented, especially since these possibilities began to expand with the arming of the settlers and their call on the people of the West Bank to head towards Jordan.” .

Demand an official clarification

Commenting on the circulating video, journalist Samir Al-Hayari said, “The military media in the Jordanian Armed Forces did not explain to us what are the reasons for the army’s movements towards the border with Palestine?” He pointed out in his interview with Al Jazeera Net that “the reason is more security than media, and it cannot be shown for the media."

He added, "There have been many questions and speculations about the published video, and therefore I believe that there will be an official clarification, and the Jordanian Armed Forces must issue a statement because we, journalists and media professionals, want to know what are the reasons for these military movements?"

Al-Hiyari pointed out that Jordan had been preparing to establish a military field hospital in the West Bank for months, specifically in the city of Jenin, “but as a result of the successive developments in the West Bank and the complex security situation, it was decided to establish the hospital in Nablus because Jordan believes that the situation in the West Bank is likely to deteriorate further.” This proactive move came from the armed forces by sending a field hospital in the West Bank, similar to the field hospital in the Gaza Strip.”

Warning message

Former Deputy Chief of Staff, retired Lieutenant General Qasid Mahmoud, said in an interview with Al Jazeera Net, “The movement of Jordanian army troop carriers is not considered a fundamental change,” and he added, “It is clear that there is an escalation in the Jordanian political position, and therefore Amman is sending more than a warning message to the Israeli occupation.” .

Mahmoud stressed that "the decision-maker in Jordan officially and effectively declared a state of war if displacement of Palestinians from the West Bank to Jordan was carried out, and this message was issued by King Abdullah II and the Minister of Foreign Affairs more than once."

As for the security and strategic expert, Dr. Muhammad Al-Muqaba, he saw, in his interview with Al-Jazeera Net, that the Jordanian military movements towards the border with Palestine come in the context of redistributing forces and arranging the theater of operations concerned with the final combat situation.

The expert explained that the deployment is in accordance with a defensive plan to anticipate the occurrence of an attack, or that it is linked to the completion of a political decision that may be taken, and this decision may require a corresponding response, and thus this proactive step came from the Jordanian army, expressing his belief that the Jordanian position is related to the risks of forced displacement from The West Bank, and that there will be a political decision related to this matter, especially since Jordan will not allow displacement.

Official fears

Al Jazeera Net learned from informed sources that the decision-maker in Jordan views with fear the escalation of military and security events in the West Bank, especially in the Jenin camp, considering it as an early warning of the possibility of an Israeli military escalation, which could ultimately lead to chaos, and thus the threats to emigrate population from the West Bank to Jordan escalate. This means placing the Jordanian state before unexpected and unacceptable possibilities and escalation scenarios.

The Jordanian army had opened an investigation after 7 members of the Jordanian field hospital in Gaza were injured while trying to treat Palestinian citizens who were injured during an Israeli bombing, according to a statement issued by the army.

In a statement today, Sunday, Jordanian King Abdullah II said that the attack on the medical teams in the field hospital in Gaza was a “heinous crime,” noting that “appropriate measures will be taken to deal with this attack.”

Israeli military analyst: It is too early to talk about the collapse of Hamas

A prominent Israeli military analyst confirmed on Monday that it is currently too early to talk about the collapse of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in the Gaza Strip.

Amos Harel said in an article published in the newspaper "Haaretz" that there is a major escalation in Gaza currently, as Israeli forces are focusing on targeting the Jabalia refugee camp, the Zaytoun neighborhood, and several neighborhoods close to Gaza City.

He added, "During the first three weeks of ground operations, the Israeli army did not advance into these neighborhoods north and east of the city."

He pointed out that Israeli military units "operate in a dense and very dangerous urban area," which increases the possibility of mistaken fire between them as a result of the intense, widespread fire.

Harel explained that there are incidents related to fatigue after weeks of activity, and an increasing phenomenon of failure to adhere to combat discipline.

The Israeli army was reported to have killed a large number of Palestinian militants and targeted new targets, sometimes in areas that had been occupied earlier during the operations.

Israeli army strategy

The analyst explained that the army's strategy is to slowly deploy large forces to ensure their safety, rather than quickly entering areas to clear them of resistance using air and artillery strikes.

Besides, a long array of secondary forces and logistics units are currently deployed inside the Gaza Strip, which poses a major challenge in maintaining the level of combat discipline on the front.

The analyst added that the Israeli army is currently operating on the ground in the last major areas in the northern Gaza Strip. He added, "However, it is too early to talk about the collapse of Hamas," whose capabilities in the south are still intact, and that its leadership is still present and hiding there as well.

Harel added, "There are still military objectives to be dealt with in the northern Gaza Strip, but Israeli political and military leaders will have to decide whether there are too many potential gains to justify the effort and risks to soldiers' lives."

This report comes in light of the ground incursion by Israeli forces into the Gaza Strip, in response to the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation launched by the resistance on the 7th of last October.

The Israeli army demands that the BBC apologize

Israeli army spokesman Peter Lerner called on the BBC to apologize for news reporting that there was no evidence that Al-Shifa Hospital was used by Hamas.

He claimed that "the Israeli military found a 50-meter-long tunnel with a reinforced armored door under the hospital, in addition to firearms, communications equipment, and RPG shells."

He added: "The Hamas Ministry of Health lied and denied that Hamas was misusing the hospital. We expect the World Health Organization to condemn this," asking: "Will BBC World Service apologize? Will Jeremy Bowen say I was wrong?"

Last week, Bowen published a report in which he expressed his doubts about the existence of any evidence with the Israeli army that there is a Hamas headquarters in Al-Shifa Hospital. He also pointed out that journalists do not have the right to move freely in the Gaza Strip, noting that journalists working in the Gaza Strip are forced to work under the supervision of the Israeli military.

Health in Gaza: Israel’s targeting of the Indonesian Hospital means the cessation of services in northern Gaza Strip

The Director-General of the Ministry of Health in Gaza, Dr. Munir Al-Bursh, said that the Israeli occupation destroyed some of the buildings of the Indonesian Hospital, while other buildings are under Israeli snipers who target any movement from above.

Al-Barsh confirmed, in a statement from the Indonesian hospital, “We cannot remove the victims of the Israeli bombing or count them,” noting that there were 650 wounded in the hospital, even though its capacity was 140 beds.

He added that many tried to leave the Indonesian hospital, but the Israeli drones targeted them.

Al-Barsh added that the occupation bombed the hospital’s clinics and surgeries floor and destroyed the equipment, stressing that “the bodies are piled up.”

He stressed that more than 100 patients in the hospital need urgent surgeries, and that medical teams are limited.

He pointed out that the occupation's targeting of the Indonesian hospital means the cessation of all health services in northern Gaza, expressing his fear of other massacres occurring after yesterday's massacre.

He pointed out that there are attempts to rationalize electricity, and that the hospital has resorted to using soybean oil to operate electrical generators instead of fuel.

For the 45th day in a row, the occupation continues its aggression against the Gaza Strip, since it began on October 7, after the Palestinian resistance carried out Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, in the Gaza envelope area inside the Israeli depths.

The raids launched by the occupation fighters against the homes of defenseless civilians continue, in addition to targeting hospitals, mosques, churches and schools, which led to thousands of martyrs and wounded.

The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced in its latest census that the death toll since the start of the aggression had risen to more than 13,000 martyrs.

American and European rejection of "displacement"... but without credibility

Abdul Wahab Badrakhan

Abdul Wahab Badrakhan

Opinion Writer

It is difficult to forget the images of premature babies waiting for the end of life, to forget the storming of the Shifa complex and other hospitals in northern Gaza by a military full of hatred and barbarism, or to forget the incident of the National Baptist Hospital and the hundreds of victims who died there and the attempt to exonerate the Israelis from it, for no other reason than inhumane the malice that  implied that attacking a site with a Christian title offends public opinion sympathetic to an occupying force that kills innocents in defense of this occupation.

With the repeated question that has traveled the world: How many victims are enough for Israel to consider that its revenge on Gaza has been accomplished? There was no answer except more killing chasing those walking along the paths of displacement, in UNRWA schools, and in homes near and far. The world was so overwhelmed by the extent of the Palestinian death that the Israeli killing machine had accumulated on its conscience, to the extent that it forgot the dead in the settlements surrounding the Gaza Strip after attacking them on the first day, as if the Israelis themselves did not also respect the lives of their victims.

There is no secret anymore, as Israel is heading to invade the entire Gaza Strip. “We will be in a place,” Benjamin Netanyahu said, meaning reoccupation. Joe Biden only said that “that would be a mistake,” meaning that he would let him occupy and then see how he could secure political coverage for him. But the Israeli wants to control the ruins of what once was, and cities with a history older than Israel, and wants to exterminate a generation of Palestinians and occupy a land without a population to ensure safety, but it does not establish any security or peace.

Where do the residents go? The bombing and killing will continue until the displacement scenario becomes a reality. Egypt has previously rejected and is currently rejecting this project, Jordan rejects it, the Arab-Islamic Summit also rejects it, even the Europeans say they reject it but no one believes them, and the American administration even rejects it but is evasive to keep it on the table, and its argument is ready, as it is waiting for some end to the war in order to defend “ “Realistic” displacement, under the pretext that the Gaza Strip will be ruins that no one can contribute to its restoration, in addition to the most important thing, which is the impossibility of rehousing two and a half million people - with or without “Hamas” - who pose a “danger” to Israel and its security, ignoring that the occupation was and will remain a danger to the entire Middle East.

Displacement is rejected, not only because it is “forced” and therefore considered a “war crime” by international law, but also because it does not constitute a solution to the “Gaza dilemma” but rather confirms the pursuit of the “Gaza Nakba 2023” (according to a statement that Minister Avi Dichter derived from internal discussions). It is rejected because it actually aims to liquidate the entire Palestinian issue (in fulfillment of the ambitions of Bezalel Smotrich and Itamar Ben Gvir and their religious Zionist doctrine).

Even the Hebrew press disapproved of the rhetoric of extremists whose longing to restore the Gush Katif settlements in the southwest of the Gaza Strip, in addition to being astonished at the low and obscene level of populist rhetoric in which military commanders say in the most “polite” language: “We will annihilate it (the Gaza Strip) and annihilate its memory.”

More than the madness of individuals, this reflects an unbridled collective hysteria with no limits to its vengeance and brutality, and this is what appeared in the first contact between the military and everyone else in the Shifa Complex. They said, false propaganda is necessary. They brought medical supplies with them while the hospital was out of service and did not bring fuel to restart it. Then they sabotaged the equipment and destroyed the medicine cabinets. They did not care about the sick and injured and killed those trying to escape from the displaced people crowded around the hospital. They left everyone for days without No water or food, then they gave them an hour to leave on foot, and some of them were unable to walk due to their health condition. At that moment, Yoav Galant (Defense Minister) did not say which of the “human animals” was: the Israeli military or the civilians he was abusing?

There are no words to describe what has become “beyond hysteria,” especially after discovering that there is nothing reliable beneath the hospital: no leadership, no Hamas fighters hiding there, no weapons arsenal, no hostage takers, and no operating room, and assuming it exists at all. Since the start of the ground operation, there has been sufficient time to evacuate and move them. In any case, these were allegations based on old intelligence information, but that did not prevent even the White House from insisting on believing them, even though media witnesses brought in from CNN and the BBC said that the Israeli story and outcome were empty. In fact, the matter is not about accessing the "tunnels" as much as it was about completing the emptying of northern Gaza of its remaining residents who had no place to resort to. But the occupation does not want their presence, as it learned from its long experience with the Gaza Strip before its withdrawal from it in 2005 the impossibility of coexistence between Gaza and the occupation.

This erratic Israeli approach has a strong impact on “post-war Gaza,” and there is no vision of ending it. Discussions are built on assumptions, the most important of which is “eliminating Hamas,” which in this case means that the war will last without a specific “end,” because the Israelis were not content with about fifty thousand Palestinians dead, missing, or injured, and the destruction they caused. Rather, they do not recognize any “victory.” Unless the Hamas missiles stop completely, and unless they reach Muhammad al-Deif, Yahya al-Sinwar and others to arrest them or show their murdered bodies... All the other hypotheses proposed seem absurd as long as there is no international will - specifically American - to prevent Israel from reoccupying the Gaza Strip, and to resolve the issue.

The people of Gaza remain on their land because this is simply their right. The United States and the Western world face two tests: either respect and enforce international law, or submit to the law imposed by the Israeli occupation. Either there is a real determination to achieve the “two-state solution,” or a determination to consider this solution merely a symbol of permanent hypocrisy.

Since the “Al-Aqsa Flood” attack and the war that followed it, it has been frequently said that “what happened did not come out of nowhere” (Antonio Guterres), and that it was “the result of the international community’s failure to find a political solution to the Palestinian issue” (Josep Borrell). These are two facts that cannot be denied even in internal discussions in Washington, London, Berlin and Paris, without their public acknowledgment.

The issue raised by the war is related in particular to a “Western function” that Israel failed to perform, and to “peace agreements” that it disrespected and mis-implemented, using the “Oslo Accords” as a means to perpetuate the colonization of Palestine and its people, and relying on absolute American support that is not devoid of stupidity.

Now Washington and others lack the presence of a “vibrant and ready” Palestinian Authority, forgetting that they and Israel have done everything to weaken and incapacitate this authority.

Biden Advisor Hockstein is in Israel to prevent sliding into war with Lebanon

US President Joe Biden's senior advisor, Amos Hockstein, arrived in Israel on Monday to hold talks with senior officials there about preventing war between Israel and Lebanon, according to what US and Israeli officials told Axios.

American officials say there is growing concern in the White House that Israeli military action in Lebanon is exacerbating tensions along the border, which could lead to a regional war.

Some in the Biden administration are concerned that Israel is trying to provoke Hezbollah and create a pretext for a broader war in Lebanon that could drag the United States and other countries into further conflict. Israeli officials categorically deny this.

An Israeli official said that Hockstein is expected to meet Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, Israeli Minister of Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer, Israeli Army Chief of Staff Herzi Halevy, and Israeli National Security Advisor Tzachi Hanegbi.

A senior Israeli official said that Tel Aviv wants the United States to work diplomatically to pressure Hezbollah to withdraw its “Radwan Force” from the border.

Israel evacuated tens of thousands of residents from Israeli villages and towns near the border as a precaution.

The Israeli official said that these civilians would not return to their homes if they believed there was a threat on the other side of the border.

This comes as Hezbollah escalated its attacks on Israel, using highly destructive missiles, aircraft, drones, and artillery shells.

Israeli newspapers: These are the reasons for the delay in the prisoner deal with Hamas

At a time when the Israeli occupation state and its military council (the war cabinet) are trying to accuse the Hamas movement and its leader in the Gaza Strip, Yahya Sinwar, of delaying a prisoner exchange deal, Israeli reports and analyzes indicate that the interest of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is one of the most prominent factors hindering the deal.

In this context, Israeli journalist Reviv Drucker, in an article published in the newspaper “Haaretz” on Monday, quoted a senior Israeli minister in the mini-ministerial council for political and security affairs (the cabinet) as telling him, two days ago, that “Netanyahu is trying to prolong the war as much as possible.” and this is in his interest, and for this reason he said in press conferences that there is no offer for a deal for the kidnapped”.

In the writer's opinion, Netanyahu believes that he must subdue Hamas, regardless of the time the war requires, and he can claim, as he did in the press conference two days ago, that he is surprised by the preoccupation with political matters by some while fighting soldiers in Gaza.

The Israeli journalist believes that Netanyahu will not stop, even if US President Joe Biden asks him to do so, and is trying to promote that he alone is capable of confronting international pressure.

Drucker added that Netanyahu's interest coincides with the army's interest in the wake of the major failure on October 7, and that their partial salvation comes by dealing a fatal blow to the Hamas movement.

In this context, Defense Minister Yoav Galant used to say that he does not know “hours,” but only “goals,” which means, in the writer’s opinion, that he does not care about the economy, relations with Egypt, Jordan, and the United States, and the normalization agreements (Abraham), and that he cannot end the war before Subjugating Hamas, and therefore this convergence of interests between Netanyahu and Gallant may prolong the war for many months.

Drucker continued, "The truth must be told: Netanyahu and Gallant are paying a lip service to the families of the kidnapped. They say all the right words, 'High priority... I imagine he is my son,' but in their behavior they leave the kidnapped behind."

The writer criticized the Israeli media, saying that Netanyahu takes advantage of the media’s failure to broadcast Hamas’ reports on the status of the negotiations, does not broadcast videos of detainees, and does not examine Hamas’ claims that the Israeli bombing in Gaza injured a number of detainees, which allows Netanyahu space to claim that he is doing everything in his power to release detainees.

In the writer's opinion, Netanyahu may think that a temporary ceasefire might increase political pressure on him to stop permanently or resign.

For his part, Yossi Yeshua, the security and military affairs correspondent for the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper, wrote today that the “Cabinet” was informed of progress, which would, according to statements from the political echelon, “release all the mothers and children who are in captivity by Hamas, and in return, Israel will release” a symbolic number of (Palestinian) female prisoners and minors in its prisons, in addition to a ceasefire for several days.”

The writer stated that the Israeli army made clear that it could continue its war on Gaza after that.

The writer raised a question as to whether Israeli army would actually be able to continue the war with the same force, and whether it would be better to pressure Sinwar to free more detainees.

The writer considered that the deal in its current form poses a threat to the possibility of changing the reality in Gaza.

In turn, Amos Harel, a military analyst in the Haaretz newspaper, wrote today that there are those in Israel who believe that it should seize the opportunity of the deal, even if it will not lead to the release of all detainees in the first stage.

This position comes with the claim that “Sinwar is less rational than Hezbollah (he conducted several exchange deals with Israel) and may cut off contact, and may even cause the loss of contact with the kidnapped persons if the war escalates later. Therefore, there is an urgent need to free everyone who can be freed from captivity” " in the near future."

Financial Times: The Biden administration is confident that Arab countries will not resort to oil weapons

The White House Advisor for Global Energy Security, Amos Hockstein, expressed his confidence that the Arab oil-producing countries will not resort to oil weapons, despite the escalation of anger throughout the region due to the war launched by the Israeli occupation on Gaza, which has reached its 45th day and claimed more than the 13,000 dead, including more than 5,500 children and 3,500 women.

Hockstein said in an interview with the British newspaper "Financial Times" that the level of cooperation between the United States of America and the oil-producing Gulf countries, including Saudi Arabia, has remained "very strong" over the past two years. He added: "Oil has been used as a weapon from time to time after it has become a traded commodity, so we always have concerns about this, and we are working to prevent it from happening, but I think that so far it has not happened.”

Hockstein added: “We now have two ongoing wars in the world, one of which is involving the third largest oil producer in the world (meaning Russia), and the other is in the Middle East, where missiles are flying near oil production fields, and yet prices are touching their lowest levels this year.” He continued, "This shows that we are managing the situation well, but we cannot close our eyes in light of such a developing situation."

Hockstein also told the newspaper that "cooperation and coordination between producers and consumers over recent years has remained very strong in trying to avoid any energy shocks."

Last Friday, the Financial Times reported on sources saying that the alliance of oil exporting countries and Russia (OPEC+) is heading to reduce oil production again to raise prices.

The newspaper quoted another person close to prominent Gulf figures in OPEC as saying: “You should not underestimate the level of anger that exists and the pressure that leaders in the Gulf feel from their people because of the war on Gaza.”

The source added that there would be no repeat of the oil shock that occurred in the 1970s, when Arab countries halted their exports to the West, but added: “People have become complacent about the possibility of reducing oil supplies to send a hidden message, which will be well understood on the streets, and in Washington, D.C.”

The slow escalation on the Lebanese-Israeli border poses the threat of a broader war

The Washington Post newspaper indicated that the conflict that broke out along the Lebanese-Israeli border in conjunction with Israel's war on Gaza has become something of a routine, as every day over the past six weeks, Israel has attacked Lebanon and Hezbollah has attacked Israel, a pattern that has started as a revenge tactic and has now turned into a continuous exchange of fire.

According to intelligence reports, the strikes are between 4 and 5 miles from the border on both sides, a deliberate calibration aimed at containing the violence and avoiding a far more destructive war.

But the scope and intensity of the fighting is gradually increasing, according to experts, with Saturday seeing Israeli planes strike an aluminum factory in the Lebanese town of Nabatieh, 12 miles north of the border — beyond the traditional zone where both sides consider retaliatory fire acceptable.

According to the newspaper, both sides have begun using more lethal weapons, “as Israel now regularly sends fighter planes to strike Hezbollah targets; Hezbollah deploys drones and heavy-caliber missiles. It announced on Saturday that it had shot down an Israeli drone, which it denied.” Israel also responded later in the day by targeting what it described as an advanced surface-to-air missile system.

Israeli officials have escalated the tone of the threat, with the Washington Post citing what Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari said last week: “Lebanese citizens will bear the cost of this recklessness and Hezbollah’s decision to be the defender of Hamas and ISIS.” The Israeli army has operational plans to change the security situation in the north.”

The newspaper reported that these sporadic escalations have not yet ignited the fire that many fear, but every violation of the undeclared agreement between Hezbollah and Israel brings them closer to the brink of the abyss.

It is noteworthy that the last war between Hezbollah and Israel, in 2006, resulted in the deaths of more than 1,200 people in Lebanon and 165 in Israel, and left large areas of this besieged country in ruins. Both sides have warned that any large-scale conflict now would be far more destructive, and both have indicated that they do not wish to fight such a war.

The newspaper quoted Andrea Tenenti, spokesman for the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon, the peacekeeping force that monitors activity on the Lebanese side of the border, that as the weeks pass and the missiles fly, the risk increases that either side will miscalculate or cross the border.

“Anything one side can do, the other can decide it has gone too far” and allow a bigger fight, he said.

According to the Washington Post, “In ancient Tire, a quaint port city filled with fishermen and its cobblestone streets and markets, fears rise that violence will soon spread to the rest of Lebanon. The past 17 years have given the South its longest period of peace in five decades, and the city has flourished.” This attracts tourists to its beaches, bars and luxury hotels. But the newspaper pointed out that bars and hotels are now empty and there are few customers in restaurants.

Arab and Western diplomats told the newspaper that intense talks are taking place behind the scenes to prevent a repeat of what happened in 2006. Their attention has focused on the calculations of Hezbollah, the Shiite party and armed group that represents the most dominant political and military force in Lebanon, and on the words of Hassan Nasrallah, the group’s powerful leader who It enjoys close and long-term relations with Iran.

The National Interest magazine reported that the United States is trying to mediate between the two sides to get out of this nightmare scenario, as Washington wants to reduce the possibility of a regional war breaking out and is using all its influence to achieve this.

The magazine explained that people in Lebanon are trying to go about their daily lives in a constant state of fear as the situation worsens in the southern border region, but the ongoing fighting between Hezbollah and Israel keeps everyone on alert for a large-scale war.

It believes that the possibility of Israeli aircraft bombing Beirut and Hezbollah precision-guided missiles hitting Tel Aviv will not be possible to avoid at all if war breaks out.

According to the newspaper: “Some in Lebanon have suggested ways to avoid a complete confrontation with Israel. Major General Abbas Ibrahim, who served as head of the Public Security Directorate in Lebanon, spoke with the National Interest about the current situation, saying that the United States is in official and informal contacts.” Officially, there are people who believe they can make a difference with Hezbollah, because the Americans are trying to reduce the escalation on the border.”

According to the National Interest, Major General Ibrahim has in the past played the role of mediator for Hezbollah and the United States whenever they needed to communicate. However, he categorically denied that there was any direct discussion between them regarding the current conflict. He told the magazine: “I can say that Hezbollah is not participating in direct talks with the United States. They are focusing all their efforts on Palestine. There are many attempts to build this channel between Hezbollah and the United States, but they have proven unsuccessful so far.”

He added that the best guarantee that war will not invade Lebanon is for the international community to stop the Israeli attack on Gaza now.

“Anything one side can do, the other can decide it has gone too far” and unleash a bigger battle, he said.

In two speeches since the outbreak of the war, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary-General of Hezbollah, has indicated that the party sees its role in creating a situation of distraction for Israel along Israel's northern border to relieve pressure on Hamas, its ally in Gaza, rather than waging an all-out war.

Why did 400 lawyers file a lawsuit against Israel in the Criminal Court in solidarity with Gaza?

French lawyer and international law expert Gilles Duver said that the precise definition of genocide was fully met in the military aggression launched by Israel against the Gaza Strip, whether it was related to the siege, lack of food, and fuel prevention, or was related to genocide through bombing and displacement.

In an interview with Al Jazeera, the French lawyer indicated that he is leading an initiative that includes 300 to 400 lawyers from all over the world to file a lawsuit before the International Criminal Court in The Hague demanding the opening of an investigation into the incidents attributed to the Israeli occupation army in the Gaza Strip since October 7.

Duffer (a lawyer accredited to the International Criminal Court) explained that this initiative comes from civil society, and “after we saw what is happening, we understand that it is not only about military aggression, it is not just war crimes or crimes against humanity, but rather it is real genocide” without a theoretical or philosophical choice. We see that the precise definition of genocide is fulfilled in the international convention and in judicial and reference precedents, as in the cases of Srebrenica and the Rohingya.”

It's not just Israel's military aggression, it's not just war crimes or crimes against humanity, it's actual genocide

He added that the situation related to Palestine meets all the standards of case law related to genocide, including the first type, which relates to the extermination of the population. It is an example of the extermination of the Jews during the reign of Hitler, but in Palestine it is of a different kind, as it is an extermination related to the destruction of a social group.

Regarding the merits of filing the lawsuit, Dover said that the references are available, as happened in the international tribunals for the former Yugoslavia, the International Tribunal for Rwanda and the International Court of Justice, stressing that it is not just his personal opinion, but “the truth of the law, the judge says that the aggressor cut off the electricity, and then withheld food and starved the People, attacked civilian homes and civilians themselves were attacked, and there is also population displacement.”

He continued, "All these actions indicate a pure intention to destroy the ethnic group, and with devoid of humanity, and with inhumane words, the occupation says about the Palestinians that they are animals, not humans."

workplan

Regarding the action plan followed by the initiative, the French lawyer explains that after “the criteria for genocide have been achieved through the extermination of nationalities, we have achieved the legal concept of our work, and then we begin writing the complaint and send it to some of our collaborators and our contacts, then we exploit the effects of social media and the efforts of "Activists. We have many, many satisfactory results."

He added that everyone around the world is interested in this issue, “because we cannot accept to see before our eyes every day the killing of the Palestinian people, the destruction of society and nothing can be done, so we have to go to justice.”

You have to choose your camp: either the genocide camp, or the legal action. But you cannot make a florid speech every day about international law and human rights and be content to do nothing, but rather support the Israeli attack.

The leader of the initiative summarizes the practical steps of their movement by saying that the first act was testimony, “We are not among the victims, but we see them, and this prompts us to go to the judiciary, and now we begin the second act, which is working for the victims, and we receive powers of attorney from the Palestinians in Gaza, and this is the legal situation.” Which is genocide."

Talking to the Public Prosecutor of the Criminal Court “is not an exaggeration, because the victims of Gaza are the ones who talk to the Public Prosecutor. Therefore, we started talking about hospitals, and we also have the conditions of families.” We must say, "Every case in Gaza will have a precise and clear complaint before the Public Prosecutor."

The truth cannot be hidden

In a strong message to the international community, the lawyer addressed his country, France, and every country in the world and political leaders, saying: “You cannot say that nothing happened in Palestine, because - as professional lawyers - we explain to you that this is a case of genocide, and therefore this is your responsibility because it is a completed crime.” When we have attacks on hospitals, attacks on ambulances, attacks on civilians, attacks on children, and the goal is to destroy Palestinian society, then you should stay away and not support Netanyahu.”

Regarding his assessment of the effectiveness of international criminal justice, Duffer said that it is “very effective, and we are accustomed to hearing propaganda that says that nothing can be done through international jurisdiction as a result of fear of the court’s procedures, so it is very good that we explain this to the Palestinians, and the necessity of going to the International, court”  because it has strong judicial authority,” this is first.

Secondly, regarding what is being circulated that “the court cannot do anything for Israel, because it has not ratified the basic law of the International Criminal Court,” the French lawyer explained that “this is also incorrect propaganda,” because the court in an important decision issued in February it said that Palestine is a state, and a state with sovereign jurisdiction over the West Bank, Gaza, and East Jerusalem, and that the delegation of jurisdiction to the court is correct. Therefore, when there is a crime on Palestinian land, the court has jurisdiction, regardless of the other party, whether it is Israel or another country, pointing out that “this is not the issue, what is important is the element of the crime on the ground.”

Regarding genocide, the French lawyer stated that the evidence is very simple, “because Israel said I will cut off the electricity and then it cut it off, and it said I will deprive people of food, and in fact it besieged them, and it said you must leave your homes because there is bombing, and in fact they left,” and he added that Israel said “we will attack” Hospitals, because they are a place where terrorists attacked, so there is no difficulty in proving proof.”

"So, we have legal texts and jurisdictions, and we have good powers of attorney, and the evidence is very certain," Duffer added.

The last point - according to Duffer - is to “explain to the public prosecutor what we are currently witnessing in Palestine, as this is the biggest crime that has occurred in years. It is not just war crimes, and we are accustomed to seeing war crimes, and if the International Criminal Court does not do anything about this crime, it will be the end of the court."

Israel and the Criminal Court

The French lawyer summarizes the purpose of the lawsuit by saying, “The fact that we took action before the International Criminal Court constitutes a strong attack on Israel, because it denounced the court. So who is - then - the terrorist and who is legal? This is the first point and it is necessary because all Palestinian groups and armed factions in Palestine accept jurisdiction.” The International Criminal Court, while Israel rejects the jurisdiction of this court.”

He added, "We want to explain all of this to the world to show that Israel is not a democratic state, and that it is not a state of law, because it rejects international laws, and this explains the work of armed resistance in Palestine."

Our action before the International Criminal Court constitutes a strong attack on Israel, because it denounced the court, so who is the terrorist and who is legal?

Dover also pointed out that Palestine is a state, has jurisdiction over Jerusalem, and whoever does not accept the legal rules of the game will not be able to play. Hence, for the world opinion and for the Palestinians, “there is a legal weakness, and they do not know exactly where they are. So, our mission is to prove that there is a legal case, and there is legal implementation. It is not just a discussion, there is a legal standard, and we can present this standard to Israel and the Western countries”.

The French lawyer concluded: “If the case develops - and the court may not issue a ruling to abstain from voting - and when the court believes that it has sufficient evidence, it will issue an arrest warrant, and this is not impossible, because everyone was saying that this was impossible against Vladimir Putin” .

The two institutions said in a statement on the occasion of World Children’s Day, which falls on November 20 of each year, that the Israeli occupation, in addition to the ongoing genocide against our people in Gaza, including thousands of children, continues its systematic arrest operations against Palestinian teens in the West Bank, which has been detrimental and has been devastating. It remains one of the most prominent and systematic policies targeting Palestinian children and teens.
