Gaza: Storms and rains exacerbate the suffering of displaced people in tents and shelters

Thousands of Gaza Strip citizens spent a harsh night due to severe storms that uprooted their dilapidated tents and left them in the open trying to gather what remained of those tents to restore them at dawn.

For the third day, Palestine, including the Gaza Strip, is affected by a low-pressure system accompanied by severe storms and heavy rain, according to the Meteorological Department.

These tents are the only shelter left for thousands of citizens after the Israeli occupation destroyed their homes over more than 15 months of genocide and they found no alternative refuge.

Citizens described this night as the "hardest and most difficult" due to the severity of the storms that accompanied the depression, saying: "The mind cannot imagine the difficulties we faced."

Although some tents were flooded and others were torn and blown away, those who lost their homes and their last chance for shelter are renewing their rejection of American calls to seize the Gaza Strip and displace them from it.

Some of them told Anadolu Agency, "Palestinians are like fish and Gaza is their sea. If they leave it, they will die. Therefore, they are steadfast on their land despite displacement and suffering."

The depression has exacerbated the suffering of displaced Palestinians in tents and shelters, where they live in poor humanitarian conditions due to the lack of basic resources and daily necessities.

On the beach in the southern Gaza Strip, Abu Jamal Khalifa gathers the remains of his tent, which was torn apart by severe storms during the night hours, causing large parts of it to fly away.

Khalifa (54 years old) went through about 10 displacement trips during the months of genocide, the last of which was about 6 months ago to the beach under very harsh humanitarian conditions.

“During the night hours, the tent could not withstand the air pressure, so it tore and flew away,” Khalifa says, leaving him and the three families sheltering in the tent out in the open, facing the bitter cold and rain.

He continued, explaining that the winds caused half of the supplies inside the tent, including mattresses and blankets, to fly away.

He explained that throughout his life he had never experienced such a harsh night due to the low pressure system, explaining that the storms carried soft sea sand and scattered it heavily on his children, which made the conditions even more difficult.

He pointed out that the tent's collapse exacerbated their suffering, especially since it was housing his daughter, who had kidney disease, and his son, who suffered from pain in his spine, in addition to his widowed daughter, whose husband was martyred during the genocide.

Despite the severe suffering that burdens the citizen Khalifa, he insists on his adherence to his land, which is located within the area to which they have not yet been allowed to return, and he rejects the displacement plans from it.

Khalifa says: “Despite the destruction of the homes, we will set up tents and live in them. We will not emigrate voluntarily from the Strip. We will not emigrate unless they exterminate us. But to emigrate of our own free will is difficult.”

He continued, saying: "Just as fish live in the water, when they come out they die, and we, the people of Gaza, do not live outside of it."

In the city of Deir al-Balah in the middle of the Strip, an elderly woman (80 years old) who preferred not to publish her name said that she was displaced from the Sheikh Zayed area in the northern governorate.

She added that she spent the night holding onto one of the wooden poles that secured their tent to the sand, saying that the ground seemed to shake due to the storms and winds.

The elderly woman expressed her refusal to emigrate outside the Gaza Strip, noting that she prefers to stay in the cloth tents rather than emigrate abroad.

Despite the destruction and the harsh life in tents, she continues, "We do not leave Gaza. This is our country. We are steadfast in it and we do not accept emigration."

She points out that the Palestinians will rebuild Gaza, albeit slowly, by putting one stone upon another.

In this context, citizen Ahmed Shamali stressed his rejection of all plans for displacement outside the Gaza Strip, calling on the Palestinians to stand firm and stay even if it is in a tent.

In turn, citizen Khaled Al-Ayyoubi says that tents and streets in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood east of Gaza City were flooded with rainwater that accompanied the low pressure system, while tents were blown away.

He added that the severe storms caused the tin sheets that sheltered families to fly away.

Al-Ayyubi explains that the land, due to the destruction of the infrastructure during the months of the genocide and its flooding with rainwater, has become rugged and difficult to walk on.

For his part, a citizen, who preferred not to publish his name, demanded that there be a solution for the displaced people who lost their homes and are living through renewed tragedies with every depression.

He continues: "Our life is tragic, our homes were destroyed, our children were killed and arrested, and nothing is left."

Regarding the American calls for the displacement of Palestinians, he said: “This is a solution that is worse than bad.”

Throughout the months of genocide, citizens took refuge in schools, health centers, playgrounds, and tents made of cloth after the Israeli occupation destroyed their residential areas and homes.

According to the data, the occupation destroyed about 88% of the infrastructure in the Gaza Strip, including homes, hospitals, schools, vital facilities and services.

Between October 7, 2023 and January 19, 2025, the occupation committed genocide in Gaza, leaving more than 159,000 martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 14,000 missing.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio Heads to Middle East Next Week

A US State Department official said that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will visit the Middle East for a few days starting next week, his second trip as head of the State Department, to follow up on US President Donald Trump's proposal to take control of the Gaza Strip.

The official confirmed late Thursday that Rubio will visit Israel, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Saudi Arabia between February 13 and 18, after attending the Munich Security Conference in Germany.

While a specific itinerary has not yet been announced, Rubio's impending visit to the Middle East comes at a pivotal time in foreign policy, as Israel and Hamas implement a three-phase ceasefire agreement after 16 months of Israeli war on Gaza.

It is noteworthy that during a joint press conference in the Dominican Republic with President Luis Abinader on Thursday, Rubio said that President Donald Trump offered to be part of the solution to rebuild Gaza.

Trump suggested on Tuesday during his press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that the United States take control of the Gaza Strip in order to rehabilitate the area into a livable place as much of the area has been destroyed and millions displaced.

White House spokeswoman Caroline Levitt told reporters on Wednesday that under Trump's proposal, Palestinians would be moved "temporarily" in order to successfully settle the land and rebuild.

The US official said that Rubio will discuss during the tour the situation in Gaza and the repercussions of the attacks launched by Hamas on October 7, 2023, on Israel, and will continue Trump's approach in trying to resolve the current situation in the region.

“The status quo cannot continue,” the official continued. “It’s like wash, rinse, repeat. It becomes habitual and you start to believe that this is life and what we should expect. President Trump and Marco Rubio believe that this is not the case and that things can change.”

US vetoes Hezbollah's participation in government, Israel continues to violate agreement

Morgan Ortagus, the US deputy Middle East envoy, made it clear that Washington wants to ensure that Hezbollah is not part of the Lebanese government that Prime Minister-designate Nawaf Salam intends to form and remains disarmed, while Israel continues to violate the ceasefire agreement in southern Lebanon.

Ortagus added that "Israel was able to defeat Hezbollah, and we congratulate it on that," and she also conveyed to Lebanese President Joseph Aoun the congratulations of US President Donald Trump on his election as president.

Aoun met with Ortagus today, Friday, at Baabda Palace, according to a statement issued by the Lebanese presidency on its website on the "X" platform, and Ortagus affirmed her country's support for Lebanon and the Lebanese, she said.

In the same context, diplomatic sources reported that the message conveyed by Washington to Beirut includes an indication that Lebanon will be exposed to greater isolation and economic devastation unless it forms a government committed to reforms and is committed to eliminating corruption and limiting the influence of Hezbollah.

Reuters quoted a "senior official" in the US administration as saying, "It is important for us to clarify what we would like to see the new Lebanon look like in the future," stressing that Washington does not choose specific members of the cabinet, but seeks to ensure that Hezbollah does not participate in the government.

Israeli violations

On the ground, Israeli warplanes launched a raid on the town of Al-Bissariyeh in the Sidon district in southern Lebanon today, Friday, in an escalation of Israel's ongoing violations of the ceasefire agreement.

The Lebanese News Agency reported in a brief news item that "a violent explosion was heard in the town of Al-Bissariyeh - Tebna neighborhood, which turned out to be the result of an Israeli raid on the town."

On the other hand, the agency noted that the Israeli army carried out bombing operations in two stages in the border town of Kfar Kila in southern Lebanon.

On November 27, 2024, a ceasefire agreement ended an exchange of shelling between the Israeli army and Hezbollah that began on October 8, 2023, and turned into a full-scale war on September 23.

The agreement included a 60-day deadline during which Israel would withdraw from the towns it had occupied in southern Lebanon during the war.

But Tel Aviv violated the agreement by refusing to implement the full withdrawal during this deadline, which ended at dawn on January 26, before the White House announced an Israeli-Lebanese agreement to extend the deadline until February 18.

The Israeli aggression on Lebanon resulted in a total of 4,098 deaths and 16,888 injuries - including a large number of children and women - in addition to the displacement of about 1.4 million people.

Gaza Ceasefire: Israel Manipulates Relief Priorities, Anticipates Prisoner Exchange Tomorrow

The ceasefire in Gaza entered its twentieth day today, Friday, amid anticipation that Hamas will hand over the list of names of the Israeli hostages who will be released tomorrow, Saturday, as part of the prisoner exchange agreement.

An Israeli working delegation is scheduled to leave for Doha next Saturday to continue the negotiations, according to the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation (Kan 11), which indicated that the delegation includes cadres from the Mossad and Shabak. In preparation for the expected prisoner exchange on Saturday, Israel is expected to receive a list of hostages who will be released on Friday.

At the same time, there is fear in Israel that a series of statements made by the US president could harm the negotiations.

Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz announced on Thursday that he had instructed the army to prepare a plan for the residents of the Strip to leave "voluntarily," expressing his welcome for Trump's plan, which said that the United States would control Gaza after the Palestinians were resettled elsewhere.

Israel continues to procrastinate and delay everything related to the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip under the ceasefire agreement, as data from government agencies in the Strip showed that the Israeli authorities did not abide by the number of trucks required to enter, according to the terms of the ceasefire agreement.

85% of Gaza schools out of service due to Israeli war

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education in the Gaza Strip said that the war waged by Israel over the course of more than 15 months caused 85 percent of schools to go out of service, and the interruption of education for two consecutive years.

The Director General of the Ministry's Public Relations Unit, Ahmed Al-Najjar, added that "the genocide caused an unprecedented educational disaster in the sector," according to what was reported by the Anadolu Agency.

He stated that higher education also suffered heavy losses, as the Israeli army killed about 1,200 students and 150 academics, while destroying 140 university facilities.

He stressed that the deliberate destruction of educational institutions in Gaza made restoring the educational process a major challenge.

According to statistics issued by the Government Media Office, Israel bombed 1,166 educational facilities over the course of more than 15 months, including 927 schools, universities, kindergartens and educational centers that were completely destroyed, in addition to the martyrdom of 12,800 students and 800 teachers and administrators.

Al-Najjar said that the ministry has developed an "emergency response plan, working in coordination with local and international agencies to find quick solutions."

He added, "The plan includes completing the 2023/2024 academic year and launching the new year 2024/2025 with exceptional mechanisms, and holding a special session for high school students."

The plan also includes, according to Al-Najjar, “rehabilitating damaged schools, establishing temporary schools and educational tents, enhancing e-learning and home-schooling to compensate for academic loss, in addition to launching intensive psychological support programs for students and teachers.”

Al-Najjar called on human rights organizations to document the occupation's crimes against students and educational institutions in the Gaza Strip.

He called on the international community to provide urgent support to rebuild schools and educational institutions, and to ensure the resumption of studies as soon as possible.

The government media office in Gaza estimated the value of the damage and losses in the education sector due to the Israeli war at more than 2 billion dollars.

On January 19, a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and a prisoner exchange between Hamas and Israel came into effect. It includes three stages, each lasting 42 days. During the first, negotiations will be held to start the second and third, with the mediation of Egypt and Qatar and the support of the United States.

Gaza Municipality: Displaced people's tents blown away and flooded due to the low pressure

The Gaza Municipality reported on Friday that the stormy low pressure system hitting the Strip caused dozens of tents housing displaced people whose homes were destroyed by Israel over the course of more than 15 months of war to fly away and sink.

Municipality spokesman, Hosni Mahna, said, "Rainwater and strong winds swept through shelters and temporary camps, causing dozens of tents to fly away and water to enter a number of others, in light of Gaza City's need for 120,000 tents or suitable shelter units."

He stated that thousands of people, including children, women and the elderly, were forced to spend the night hours "in the bitter cold and in light of the severe shortage of heating methods, which increased their suffering in light of a difficult humanitarian reality that lacks the minimum requirements for a decent life," according to what was reported by the Anadolu Agency.

Mahna said that the municipality teams are closely monitoring the situation despite the difficult circumstances that Gaza City is going through, but the almost non-existent capabilities due to the widespread destruction of the infrastructure during the genocide make the immediate response to the needs of the displaced a major challenge.

He added, "What we are witnessing today is a real humanitarian disaster. Families who lost their homes are living in tragic conditions, and there are no real solutions to protect them from the harsh winter cold."

Mahna pointed out that the displaced people are in dire need of "safer tents, winter blankets, heating equipment and food supplies, to help them cope with these harsh conditions."

He called on international and humanitarian institutions to "take urgent action to save thousands of families suffering from unprecedented conditions."

He pointed out that the sector is facing "a worsening humanitarian crisis, as the needs of the displaced increase day after day in light of the ongoing blockade and the difficulty of delivering aid, which requires a rapid international response to reduce this ongoing suffering."

Dozens of displaced people were blown away and drowned in the central and southern governorates of the Gaza Strip, due to the low pressure system accompanied by storms and heavy rains, which has been hitting the Gaza Strip since Wednesday evening.

This depression has exacerbated the suffering of thousands of displaced people, who lost their homes during the genocide and are living in harsh humanitarian conditions due to the lack of basic supplies, winter blankets, and heating means.

Although tens of thousands of Palestinians have returned to their areas of residence, they were shocked by the extent of the destruction left by the Israeli army, as some of them re-erected dilapidated displacement tents near the ruins of their homes.

Between October 7, 2023 and January 19, 2025, Israel, with American support, committed genocide in Gaza, leaving more than 159,000 dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 14,000 missing.

Absence and intimidation

op-ed - Al-Quds dot com

op-ed - Al-Quds dot com

The appearance of the occupation army minister yesterday, and his statements in which he called on the army to prepare a plan that would allow any citizen in Gaza who wants to leave the Strip to any place in the world that agrees to receive him, is just another attempt to spread poison, illusions and dreams, which Israel hopes will come true on the ground, and in it is a policy of enticement by offering many options for exit, whether through land crossings or by sea or air, with the costs being paid for them, as if Israel has become concerned and humane, and has become responsible for the well-being of the citizens of Gaza, by the necessity of their exit and travel to obtain beautiful buildings, homes and luxurious apartments as Trump promised, under the pretext that Gaza is not fit for living, habitation and life.

This policy of enticement is in fact intimidation, and a new attempt to marginalize the Palestinian role and eliminate any Palestinian representation in the Strip. As we mentioned in previous discussions and discussions, it is a policy of ethnic cleansing and the complete displacement of a defenseless people, and its danger exceeds what happened in all the Palestinian catastrophes.

Trump himself realizes that the possibility of achieving his dream is very difficult, and Netanyahu and his extremist gang know very well that what they failed to achieve in war, they will not achieve by begging and praying at the gates of the West, and the occupation army is well aware that Trump's immoral plan will ignite the situation in the West Bank with the approach of the holy month of Ramadan, and the head of the Military Intelligence Division warned of the serious security consequences of Trump's plan to displace the residents of Gaza, and accordingly the message of our Palestinian people, their leadership and their resistance is clear, and they have publicly announced their rejection of Trump's suspicious plan and their refusal to deal with it, or even think about it, and to bury it forever, just as our people have buried other conspiracies throughout the years of their struggle.

It is true that Hamas threatened that promoting the Trump plan and displacing the Palestinians would negatively affect the prisoner swap deal, including the second and third stages, but that is not enough because the dangerous and delicate stage requires a unified Palestinian and Arab position, from everyone, to nip this idea in the bud and confront the plans of Israel and the United States.

Our Palestinian people, with their steadfastness, perseverance, struggle and sacrifices, are ready to live on destruction and rubble, even in tents, instead of running after illusions, because they live on their land and on the soil of Palestine and breathe its air, and they will not give up a grain of sand from it.

The American and Israeli desires are in agreement and their interests and conspiracies against the Palestinian people meet. Trump’s latest statements in which he indicates that the United States will not send soldiers to Gaza, and that it seeks to receive it from Israel after the end of the fighting, indicate that there is a green light from Trump for Netanyahu to resume the aggression and fighting, and that the ceasefire agreement is now threatened by both parties, and each of them seeks to hold Hamas responsible in order to undermine the agreement and return to war, which will be a driver of migration, expulsion and uprooting.

Israel, which has completely destroyed the Gaza Strip, will only be interested in sending a negotiating delegation to Doha in a formal manner, because it and its partner, the United States, will sabotage the exchange deal, or achieve formal results from it. Our people, their leadership, and their resistance must be wary of the new imperialist trap, which begins with enticement, but in reality is eternal oblivion and intimidation.

President Trump and the Displacement and Seizure of Gaza

Firas Yaghi

Firas Yaghi

Opinion Writer

President Trump's statements in the presence of his "great" friend Netanyahu are not at all strange to him, as everything President Trump usually falls within the scope of unusual and unrealistic matters, and even impossible, but the dealmaker who is looking for the Nobel Peace Prize believes that nothing is impossible for him, as he is the man of impossible missions. "He seems to be greatly influenced by the American actor Tom Cruise, and it seems that he is a fan of many Hollywood films that reflect the image of great America, from "Captain America" to "Rambo" America...etc. He is President Trump himself, because he sees himself as the savior and the great one, and because of him America will return to being great, and for that reason the most powerful man in the world has the right to do whatever he wants and impose whatever he wants, because the man deals with the logic of the game of intensity, as he is the Joker and the boy who engraves everything in the game of "Basra", he is the absolute in this universe because he also plans to raise the American flag on "Mars", and whoever wants to occupy "Mars", how about "Gaza", but Gaza was and will remain a curse on those who think about it lightly.

The American bullying method, according to the concept of the cowboy who sees force above the law, and sees that America is international law and there is no other law above America, and the "Hague" law is clearer than the sun, "which is a law that stipulates the use of force against the International Criminal Court, if it arrests an American or an ally of America on charges of a war crime", and therefore the statement of displacement and occupation of Gaza, even by force, comes in the context of the nature of the mentality that governs a narcissistic man with the qualities of President Trump.

Everyone expected that the meeting between President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu would discuss the traditional and announced files, but everything turned according to President Trump's whims into other files, the file of displacing the people of Gaza and the file of direct American control over Gaza even if he had to send American soldiers, and this contradicts his orientations and electoral program. "Later, the White House spokeswoman denied that he would send American soldiers to occupy Gaza and that control would be discussed indirectly." Of course, behind closed doors, the important files were discussed "the International Criminal Court, the prisoner exchange deal, Iran, the West Bank, and normalization with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia." But the question here is: Why this public, showy change that surprised almost everyone?! Rather, as Yair Lapid, the leader of the opposition in Israel, said: "President Trump dropped a bombshell, and we want to know its nature and composition."

It is true that President Trump detonated a bomb of the size of the impossible, but this impossible thing is what the man of impossible missions wants to turn into the possible, so let us answer why?

First, it seems that the contractor, who according to some information was “a failure in his real estate business,” wants to work according to the concept of raising the price to get a better price. He wants to lower the price of normalization with Saudi Arabia and turn it into a price for preventing displacement, instead of a price for a Palestinian state, or at the very least a path to a political settlement with a timetable that leads to the establishment of a Palestinian state.

Second: Lowering the ceiling of negotiations for the second phase, so that the process of pressuring Hamas to reduce its demands begins under the title of not angering President Trump, because facilitating reaching an agreement without hardening and complexity may be an obstacle to displacement.

Thirdly - Hamas is not only a bargaining chip, but also disarming the resistance, i.e. agreeing to the terms of surrender, because the resistance will be confronting America and its great leader, President Trump, and not only according to Israeli demands. Therefore, the mediators will pressure Hamas to agree in order to prevent the implementation of the idea of displacement and American seizure of Gaza.

Fourth: The impossible idea becomes possible after it was proposed by President Trump, meaning that it will be worked on according to the concept of Plan B in confronting Hamas, if it is not Plan A in the first place. Here I mean the geopolitical change and the change in the features of the Middle East that Prime Minister Netanyahu “heralded” several months ago. Therefore, the goal is a comprehensive liquidation of the Palestinian cause. What calls for this is Prime Minister Netanyahu’s reaction during President Trump’s speech, which suggests that he was in the picture of what President Trump would say, as if all matters had been arranged during the visits of Minister Dermer, the Minister of Strategic Affairs, who is close to Netanyahu and the keeper of his secrets and plans, and who was proposed by Netanyahu to head the negotiating delegation related to the prisoner exchange deal. Here we point out that changing the features of the Middle East requires geographical and demographic shifts that we talked about previously in order to bury the Palestinian cause forever from their point of view and in order for Israel to become great for a great leader “Netanyahu” and under the authority of the new emperor of the world, President “Trump.”

It also seems that President Trump wants to accomplish what Israel was unable to accomplish throughout the period of the genocide and ethnic cleansing that lasted for more than fifteen months, in the practical sense of the idea of displacement or in the negotiating sense. This suggests that the American approach, and specifically the approach of President Trump’s administration towards the Palestinian issue, falls within the context of a solution by force and in the manner of the “Red Indians”, that is, ending the file that has no solution without a Palestinian state and the return of the refugees.

President Trump's statements seek to uproot the Palestinians and end the permanent headache suffered by the various White House administrations, by delivering a fatal blow that erases the Palestinians as a people and a cause. The "Gazais" are for displacement and "Gaza" is one of President Trump's farms, but after a decade it will be presented as a gift to Israel, while the "West Bank" is Israel's share as absolute sovereignty, and of course it will be without residents, or at the very least the refugees will be displaced from it, and everyone who supports the resistance organizations, headed by "Hamas".

This is how these statements are understood, but if we want to deal with them according to the logic of things, then all these statements are nothing but a set of ideas announced to intimidate and impose other unannounced facts related to accelerating achievements in terms of achieving Israeli goals, through blackmail after it failed to achieve them through genocide and war, and at the same time achieving normalization and imposing what President Trump previously called peace by force in the Middle East, a peace in which the maximum limits of Israeli requirements are taken into account in terms of geography and security arrangements, in addition to imposing indirect control over the Gaza Strip by turning it into a resort for multinational companies that will operate on the Mediterranean coasts after the Syrian knot is unravelled and the state that rejected all these plans falls, and a new regime comes.

Therefore, impossible decisions must be responded to with rejection first, and new approaches must be developed based on focusing on international legitimacy decisions and the two-state solution. However, to achieve this, the war on the Gaza Strip must be ended first, and shelter and reconstruction must be provided second, according to an irrefutable plan, i.e. developing an Arab and international plan to rebuild Gaza. This requires the Palestinian to go for a comprehensive unified concept with a national program that is consistent with international legitimacy decisions, and so that there is minimal participation through understanding, as time is full of the blood and suffering of our people in Gaza, and every Palestinian official, regardless of his position or party, will bear this blood and suffering forever. Just as previous conspiracies that aimed to displace the Palestinians were buried, this conspiracy will fail. We inform everyone that there are now 114,000 pregnant women in Gaza, and this alone is a response to the bluster of Trump and those with him.

Neither Trump, nor his gang, nor his great Netanyahu will be able to undermine the determination and will to live of all Palestinians. This is their land, and they are its owner, and it will remain so, whether anyone likes it or not.

Israeli occupation forces continue their aggression on the West Bank governorates

Today, Friday, the Israeli occupation forces continue their aggression on the West Bank governorates, including Tubas, Jenin and Tulkarm.

**Tulkarm**

The Israeli occupation continues its aggression on the city of Tulkarm for the 12th consecutive day, amid military reinforcements and the seizure of homes and turning them into military barracks after forcing their residents to leave them.

According to local sources, these forces have sent more military reinforcements of infantry and vehicles towards the city of Tulkarm and its camp, while they are still imposing a siege on the Martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital and seizing the adjacent Al-Adawiya Commercial Complex, turning it into a military barracks and observation point.

She added that the occupation forces launched a campaign of raids on citizens' homes in the eastern neighborhood last night, searching them, checking the identities of their residents, and subjecting them to field investigation, in addition to destroying cameras in the city's streets.

It also seized the Al-Burhan residential building in the eastern neighborhood, near the southwestern entrance to Tulkarm camp, forced the residents to leave at gunpoint, and turned it into a military barracks.

The occupation forces stormed the Aktaba suburb east of Tulkarm, raided the home of the Al-Aoufi family, searched it, and subjected its residents to field investigation.

**Tubas**

For the sixth consecutive day, the Israeli occupation forces continue their aggression on the town of Tamoun and the Far'a camp, south of Tubas.

Local sources reported that the occupation forces raided a number of citizens' homes in the two places last night, destroyed their contents, and conducted field investigations with their residents.

The occupation continues to send military reinforcements from the Hamra checkpoint and the Atouf Gate, amidst the ongoing destruction of infrastructure, roads, and citizens’ property, in addition to closing the main and secondary entrances to the town of Tamoun, the Far’a camp, and the southern entrance to the city of Tubas.

The town of Tamoun has been under a curfew for two days, while movement in the Far'a camp has been paralyzed due to the widespread deployment of occupation soldiers in its alleys.

These are things that cannot be bought!

The real estate tycoon, who replaced the statesman with the "businessman", is racing against time before his star fades, his rule ends, and the sun sets on his empire, which seems to be about to collapse at his hands, due to his whims, immorality, madness, unruliness, and bullying of his neighbors and allies, as well as his opponents and enemies.

His speed, his shouting, his agility, and his excessive self-confidence reveal a difficult psychological state that requires his rehabilitation, so that he may regain his sanity and stop harassing countries and peoples, as he harassed his female victims.

Just as his stick was broken in his first invasion, the “Deal of the Century,” Gaza will break it in his second invasion, and his plans to establish his illusions on its sands and sea waves will be foiled, as they drowned the floating port, through which it seems that his predecessor wanted to lay the foundation stone for the “Riviera of the East,” before the winds blew it away and it sank in the raging sea waters.

We will not lose hope in the inevitability of the homeland’s victory over the occupation, and in steadfastness against displacement, and against attempts to seize control, and to replace occupation with seizure and ownership of the land after expelling its owners.. We take comfort and warm ourselves in this stormy atmosphere with the words of the late poet Amal Donqol: “Do you see when I gouge out your eyes and then fix two jewels in their place.. Do you see? They are things that cannot be bought.. And the one who assassinated me is not a god to kill me by his will.”

What comes after the international rejection of Trump’s plans? Who will curb his impulses? Who will curb his impulses?

Dr. Omar Rahhal: Trump’s statements regarding the occupation of Gaza and the displacement of its population are a serious threat that brings to mind Hitler’s approach before World War II

Raed Al-Dabai: International condemnations of Trump’s statements reflect real concern about extremist populist trends that threaten world stability

Dr. Jamal Harfoush: International condemnations must turn into real pressure tools to hold Trump and his allies accountable, while preventing the implementation of these plans.

Dr. Walaa Qadeem: Trump’s aides did not deny his statements regarding the occupation of Gaza and displacement, but rather tried to tone them down to contain international anger

Dr. Mahmoud Al-Froukh: What is required is not to be satisfied with condemnations, but to build on them through intensive political and diplomatic moves to obstruct Trump’s plan

Only a few hours have passed since US President Donald Trump’s statements regarding the occupation of the Gaza Strip and the displacement of its residents, until they sparked a wave of widespread international condemnation, amid warnings that these statements constitute a serious violation of international law and a threat to regional and global stability.

In separate interviews with “I,” writers, political analysts, university professors, and specialists believe that Trump’s statements are reminiscent of Hitler’s policies, which sparked the outbreak of World War II at the time, prompting the world to attack Trump’s statements, while his aides sought to mitigate the impact of those statements.

They point out that these condemnations come in the context of a global rejection of Trump's populist tendencies that contradict international legitimacy resolutions, especially with regard to the Palestinian issue, while international positions indicate growing concern that the continuation of such statements may enhance the state of instability in the region, and open the door to an unprecedented escalation that threatens international peace and security, especially since Trump's statements were not limited to the Palestinian issue, but extended to threatening other sovereign states, which sparked criticism even among traditional US allies.

Writers, analysts, specialists and university professors stress that condemnations alone are not enough, but must be transformed into practical steps to prevent any attempts to impose new facts that conflict with international law.

Clear bias towards international law and legitimacy decisions

The writer and political analyst, Dr. Omar Rahhal, confirms that the widespread international condemnations of the statements of US President Donald Trump regarding the displacement and occupation of the Gaza Strip reflect a clear bias towards international law and international legitimacy resolutions, especially the UN Security Council and the UN General Assembly, as well as specialized international organizations, which confirm that the Palestinian territories are occupied territories, and their legal status may not be violated, and they also confirm the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to their land.

Rahhal explains that these condemnations also come against the backdrop of Trump’s violation of the United Nations Charter, especially its purposes and principles contained in Articles (1) and (2) of the Charter, as the Charter affirms the development of friendly relations between nations, prohibits the use or threat of force, and prevents threatening the independence and sovereignty of states.

Rahhal points out that these statements were not limited to Gaza, but extended to other fully sovereign countries and members of the United Nations, NATO, and the European Union, which threatens international relations and fuels global tensions.

Rahhal stresses that Trump's positions bring to mind the approach taken by Nazi leader Adolf Hitler before World War II, when he spoke of "living space" and occupying countries.

Rahhal explains that the world does not want this scenario to be repeated, as it realizes the danger of Trump's statements, which could lead to a crisis in international relations and increase the possibility of large-scale conflicts, and even a new world war.

Rahhal believes that Trump is acting with the logic of an “emperor,” displaying power in an irresponsible manner, which has prompted many countries to condemn his statements as illegal, unwise, and irresponsible.

He points out that Trump has a history of making provocative statements, such as his talk about annexing Greenland from Denmark, reclaiming the Panama Canal, and annexing Canada, which are unprecedented in international relations and reflect his "reckless" and sometimes ignorant approach to geopolitical issues.

Rahhal confirms that there is global concern about the possibility of a third world war breaking out, due to the political behavior of the American president and the president's narcissistic personality, especially since the United States has the military and economic capabilities to wage such wars, in light of Trump's policies that are governed primarily by economic interests.

He explains that Trump does not seem to listen to his advisors before making his statements, as he improvises and acts according to the logic of a merchant and businessman, and not as the president of a superpower. However, his statements must be taken seriously and not underestimated.

Rahhal points out that Trump's recent statements prompted his aides to try to provide explanations and justifications to mitigate their severity, as they tried to suggest that he had no intention of sending American forces to Gaza, which reflects his lack of full awareness of the consequences of his words, and even his sometimes incomprehensible (mumblings).

"These positions indicate that Trump is speaking irresponsibly, as if he is running a private company and not a country leading the global system," Rahhal says.

Rahhal points out that it seems that Trump's advisors realize that managing countries is radically different from managing companies, and therefore Trump's aides are quick to justify his statements that inflame relations between the United States and its allies, especially Arab countries that have strategic relations with Washington.

Rahhal points out that these statements caused "disappointment" among America's Arab allies in the Middle East, which prompted his aides to try to send reassuring messages to clarify his position.

Rahhal points out that Trump's statements about Gaza will not be translated into reality through a direct American occupation, but rather come within his approach of using statements and positions as negotiating cards to pressure various parties in the Middle East, which puts them in a defensive position, as if the situation is saying "he is presenting alternatives to the Palestinians and Arabs, in exchange for stopping the aggression."

Rahhal warns that the continuation of this extremist discourse may further complicate the international scene and worsen international relations, and place the world before serious challenges that go beyond the Palestinian issue to threaten international peace and security.

Global rejection of Trump's populist approach

The head of the Department of Political Science at An-Najah National University, Dr. Raed Al-Dabai, explains that the widespread international condemnations of the positions of US President Donald Trump reflect a global rejection of the populist approach he follows, whether with regard to international policies in general or the Palestinian issue in particular.

Al-Dabai points out that many of Trump's policies were controversial, especially with regard to his expansionist tendencies, which were not limited to the Middle East, but extended to major international issues, and included decisions that affected the international system in general.

As for the Middle East, Al-Dabai explains that Trump’s policies towards the Palestinian issue were part of his approach that contradicts international legitimacy resolutions, and reflects clear attempts to impose a new reality that contradicts international resolutions and international consensus on the two-state solution.

Al-Dabai stresses that the world is looking with great concern at the consequences of these policies and their impact on international security and stability, especially in light of previous historical experiences with populist leaders such as Hitler and Mussolini, who led the world into a devastating war that claimed the lives of hundreds of millions.

Al-Dabai points out that international concern is increasing in light of technological development and the artificial intelligence revolution, which has directly entered the military field.

Al-Dabai stresses that the international community, including the United States' traditional allies, reject the unilateral approach that Trump seeks to impose, especially in light of the rise of other powers such as China and Russia.

Al-Dabai points out that the recent Hague initiative, launched against the Israeli occupation and its expansionist policies, reflects a growing global rejection of the American policies led by Trump, which are based on the principle of dictates rather than dialogue and diplomatic negotiation.

Regarding the Palestinian issue, Al-Dabai explains that international condemnations of Trump’s statements regarding Gaza come in the context of defending the two-state solution and rejecting any policies or plans that undermine it.

Al-Dabai stresses that these condemnations reflect not only support for the Palestinian cause, but also international concerns that Trump’s policies will destabilize the region, including Israel itself as a liberal and pluralistic state.

Al-Dabai stresses that international condemnations of Trump’s statements about Gaza are not merely diplomatic reactions, but rather reflect real concern about extremist populist trends that threaten world stability and exacerbate conflicts instead of resolving them through dialogue and negotiation.

Al-Dabai explains that Trump is adopting a provocative policy that is not limited to the Middle East, but extends to the United States’ traditional allies, which reflects an unprecedented escalation in international relations, and increases tensions that may extend within the borders of those countries, threatening global security and stability.

Al-Dabai points out that the major countries' fears of Trump's approach also go back to the "domino theory", as it is impossible to predict how far his expansionist ambitions may go, which raises concerns among other countries that fear that they will later be targeted by his unexpected policies.

As for Trump's aides' attempts to soften his statements, especially regarding the possibility of sending American forces to Gaza, Al-Dabai explains that these clarifications come within the framework of absorbing domestic and international anger.

He points out that these "additions" reflect the extent of internal and external opposition to these statements, especially from American politicians and Washington's allies, as everyone realizes that an American military intervention in Gaza would be unprecedented, and would bring the United States into a complex and dangerous conflict.

Al-Dabai asserts that Trump's aides are trying to avoid escalation with allied countries, whether in Europe or the Middle East, and therefore they are seeking to downplay his statements and consider them a "slip of the tongue" to reassure allies in the region, as the US administration realizes that it has strategic interests and partnerships that cannot be sacrificed for the sake of ill-considered policies.

Al-Dabai points out that the Trump administration finds itself in an internal and international predicament, as it faces increasing opposition from within the United States itself, in addition to international rejection of its policies. This opposition comes from several quarters. There are lobbies within Washington calling for military escalation in the Middle East, while there are other quarters that see these policies as ill-considered and may drag the United States into confrontations with unforeseen consequences.

The dangers of demographic engineering sought by political Zionism

Professor Dr. Jamal Harfoush, Professor of Scientific Research Methods and Political Studies at the University of the Academic Research Center in Brazil, confirms that the widespread international condemnations of Trump’s plans to displace Palestinians from the Gaza Strip and occupy it reflect a clear legal and moral position against these proposals, which constitute a flagrant violation of international law and international agreements, most notably the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949, which prohibits forced displacement, and the Rome Statute, which criminalizes displacement as a crime against humanity.

Harfoush points out that international condemnations are not just passing diplomatic statements, but rather documented legal testimonies confirming that the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza constitutes a dangerous precedent that goes beyond the Palestinian dimension and threatens the entire international system.

Harfoush explains that these condemnations reflect a growing awareness in the international community of the dangers of demographic engineering sought by political Zionism, through unconditional American support. Arab and Islamic countries, along with many European powers, realize that allowing such statements to pass without serious confrontation will lead to the entrenchment of the approach of forced displacement as a political tool, which poses a threat to regional and international stability.

Harfoush asks: “How can the world accept the deportation of millions of Palestinians, while it previously rejected the deportation of Ukrainian or Rohingya refugees?” He stresses that the double standards in dealing with issues of forced displacement threaten the credibility of the international system and weaken the ability of international institutions to enforce respect for international law.

Harfoush asserts that international condemnations of these statements could form a legal basis for diplomatic and judicial moves against Trump and his administration, and against Israel, which is the primary beneficiary of this criminal vision.

Harfoush explains that these convictions open the door to the possibility of prosecuting Trump legally, similar to what happened with Russian President Vladimir Putin, against whom an international arrest warrant was issued by the International Criminal Court due to forced displacement, stressing that there are legal precedents that can be built upon to file similar cases against Trump.

Harfoush believes that these condemnations also strengthen the Palestinian legal position before international courts, whether by filing complaints before the International Court of Justice against the US administration, or filing lawsuits against Trump and his officials in the national courts of countries that have signed the Rome Statute.

Harfoush stresses that these condemnations must be transformed into practical tools to activate international accountability, and not be satisfied with political and media positions.

Regarding Trump's aides' attempts to soften his statements regarding the displacement of Palestinians, Harfoush asserts that these adjustments are nothing more than a political maneuver aimed at reducing the severity of international reactions, without retreating from the essence of the plan.

He explains that Trump has long relied on the “media shock” method, where he issues shocking statements and then leaves it to his aides to tone them down, without denying their basic content, with the aim of achieving three main goals: testing international reactions, introducing the idea into international political discourse, and distracting public opinion and diverting focus from Israeli crimes.

Harfoush points out that Trump raises the idea of displacement and monitors what the international response will be, then leaves the task of “clarification” to his aides, which allows them to gauge the strength of international objections and explore the weak points in the official positions of major countries.

According to Harfoush, even if Trump's statements seem unworkable now, simply bringing them up makes them part of the political debate, transforming them from a rejected idea into a possible option in the future.

He points out that this is what happened with the decision to move the US embassy to Jerusalem, which was rejected for decades and then became a reality due to the US insistence on imposing it.

Harfoush points out that instead of focusing the discussion on Israeli war crimes in Gaza, it is being transformed into a discussion on “how” to implement the displacement, as if the displacement itself has become a given, and the only disagreement is over the mechanisms of implementation.

Harfoush warns that Trump's tactical retreat from the idea of sending American forces to Gaza may be a prelude to an attempt to pass a displacement plan using other tools, such as encouraging Arab countries to receive large numbers of Palestinians under the cover of "humanitarian aid," or imposing enormous economic pressure on the residents of Gaza to force them to voluntarily emigrate.

He believes that this scenario requires Palestinian, Arab and international mobilization to protect Gaza demographically and legally, and to prevent any attempt to turn Palestinians into new refugees in exile, pointing out that the Israeli occupation has sought on more than one occasion to export the internal crisis in Gaza by opening secret immigration channels, which must be confronted firmly.

Harfoush stresses that the Palestinian, Arab and international response should not be limited to rejecting these statements, but should rather move towards diplomatic and legal escalation against any party promoting these ideas, even before they turn into projects on the ground.

Harfoush stresses the need to file legal complaints against Trump and his allies, and to file lawsuits before international courts, just as was done with regimes that practiced forced displacement in other parts of the world.

Harfoush asserts that what Trump is doing is not just passing statements, but rather part of a media and political strategy aimed at reproducing a new Nakba in a modern form, while attempting to strip the Palestinians of their legal and moral immunity.

Harfoush believes that international condemnations of Trump's statements must be transformed into real pressure tools to hold Trump and his allies accountable, and prevent the implementation of these plans under any name or pretext.

An indication of Washington's desire to fuel chaos in the region

Writer and political researcher Dr. Walaa Qadeemat asserts that the widespread international condemnation of US President Donald Trump’s plans regarding Gaza, including his control over the Strip and the displacement of its residents, whether permanently or temporarily, reflects a global awareness of the United States’ departure from international legitimacy and its flagrant violation of international law.

Qadeemat explains that these policies can be read as an indication of Washington’s desire to fuel chaos in the region, especially in light of its declining ability to consolidate its influence amid the rise of competing global powers such as China and Russia.

Qadimat points out that Trump’s withdrawal from the UN Human Rights Council, in addition to his controversial proposals such as annexing Canada and controlling the Panama Canal, confirm the United States’ tendency to work outside the international legal framework, which threatens global stability.

Qadeemat explains that these policies do not serve American interests in the long term, but rather increase international turmoil, which could lead to counterproductive results that threaten American national security itself.

Qadeemat asserts that Washington’s continued violation of international humanitarian law and disregard for diplomatic ethics promotes chaos and harms its international reputation. While it seeks to impose its hegemony, these policies push competing powers to exploit America’s moral and ethical decline to enhance their influence on the international scene.

Regarding Trump's proposals regarding Gaza, Qadeem believes that his main goal is to obstruct the two-state solution and end the Palestinian issue, considering that his proposal to rebuild Gaza after its occupation reflects the absence of a realistic and responsible vision at the international and Arab levels to resolve this issue.

Qadeemat asks, “Where are the supporters of the Palestinian cause? What are their alternative proposals to confront Trump’s plans?” She points out that the absence of serious international initiatives to find a solution to the Palestinian cause opens the door to American projects that go beyond international legitimacy and make the Palestinian cause hostage to foreign agendas.

Qadeemat stresses that the two most important questions are: Who will bear the responsibility for rebuilding Gaza? And what are the repercussions of implementing this American plan on the future of the Palestinians? She asserts that the Trump administration does not care about the fate of the population, but rather seeks to impose its political agenda under the cover of reconstruction.

Qadeemat explains that Trump's aides did not deny his statements regarding the occupation of Gaza and the displacement of its residents, but rather tried to mitigate their severity, in an attempt to contain international anger, while realizing the extent of the damage that could be inflicted on the United States if they were implemented.

Qadeemat stresses that Washington, despite its power, cannot operate outside the framework of the international community and international legitimacy, especially in light of the rise of competing powers that benefit from American mistakes to enhance their influence on the global stage.

Qadeemat points to the need for urgent Arab and international action to confront this American proposal, stressing the importance of uniting the Palestinians around their national goals to confront the dangers that threaten their future.

Qadeemat stresses that dealing with Gaza must be done by presenting serious ideas and solutions that are in line with international legitimacy and constitute a strong barrier to projects that aim to liquidate the Palestinian cause or undermine the rights of the Palestinian people.

International consensus to reject brutal US policies

Journalist Dr. Mahmoud Al-Froukh asserts that the angry international, Arab and Islamic reactions rejecting US President Donald Trump’s statements about displacing and occupying the Gaza Strip are a step that reflects an international consensus to reject the brutal US policies that see in the world only its interests and the interests of its protégé, Israel.

Al-Faroukh explains that these condemnations came to confirm the world's stand against the American-Israeli project aimed at forcibly displacing the Palestinians from their land, a plan adopted by the American far right allied with its Israeli counterpart.

Al-Froukh points out that Trump's statements about "Gaza without its people" are an extension of an old Zionist settlement project that seeks to empty the land of its people, which Trump explicitly described as the idea of "Gaza Riviera", meaning that the Gaza Strip would be empty of Palestinians and ready for Israeli and Western investments.

Al-Faroukh stresses that these condemnations are a strong slap in the face to Trump, and a clear message that the world no longer accepts these racist policies that are trying to impose a new colonial reality in the region.

Al-Froukh stresses that Trump will not be able to impose his will on the Palestinians or on the world as he wishes, as the absolute American support for Israel will not pass without rejection, and the forced displacement that is being planned will be confronted with Palestinian, Arab and international steadfastness.

According to Al-Froukh, this huge wave of global rejection prompted Trump’s aides to try to backtrack on his statements, by offering mitigating explanations claiming that he was not seeking to occupy Gaza or send American forces there. However, these attempts cannot deceive anyone, as Trump’s statements were clear and direct, and indicate his actual intentions towards Gaza and its people.

Al-Froukh points out that the Trump administration has previously tried to implement similar plans, such as the Deal of the Century, which sought to liquidate the Palestinian cause through projects aimed at settling Palestinian refugees in other countries. Now, Trump is repeating the same scenario, trying to impose a new reality by forcing some Arab and Western countries to receive Palestinian refugees, in an attempt to end their presence in Gaza.

Al-Froukh believes that the American attempts to mitigate the severity of Trump’s statements aim to absorb the growing global resentment against these policies. The American administration realizes that there is growing international anger, and that global public opinion has begun to view the United States as a partner in Israeli crimes against the Palestinians.

He points out that Trump's statements are not just a political opinion, but rather part of an American-Israeli strategy aimed at testing Palestinian, Arab and international reactions, in order to pave the way for implementing racist plans aimed at annihilating the Palestinian presence, and then taking complete control of the land, which Al-Faroukh described as not the "deal of the century", but rather the "slap of the century."

Al-Froukh stresses that what is required now is not to be satisfied with condemnations, but to build on them through intensive political and diplomatic movements to obstruct Trump’s plan. It is necessary for there to be a unified Palestinian position, accompanied by strong Arab, Islamic and international movements, to confront any attempt to impose forced displacement on the residents of the Gaza Strip.

Al-Faroukh warns that the American-Israeli plans will not stop at Trump's statements, but will continue in different forms, which requires rapid action to confront these dangers before they become an imposed reality.

Al-Froukh stresses that the Palestinians are not alone in this battle, as there is widespread global rejection of these plans, and it must be invested effectively in order to protect the rights of the Palestinians and prevent the implementation of any plans aimed at displacing them from their land.

PALESTINE

Palestinian government announces the formation of a committee to manage the sector.. What do writers and analysts say?

Jihad Harb: What is required is an agreement on forming a national salvation government whose primary goal is to unify the Palestinians politically and strengthen their steadfastness.

Talal Okal: Any form of official Palestinian work in the Strip has become a necessity and perhaps the last attempt to save what can be saved

Abdul Marouf: Forming a committee to administer the Gaza Strip without Hamas’s participation confirms that national reconciliation is a fantasy

Dr. Fawzi Al-Samhouri: Forming a committee to administer Gaza comes at an important time to prevent the occupation from maintaining its control over the Strip

Moeen Al-Taher: The solution lies in forming a national unity government as an alternative to the Cabinet Committee and the Community Support Committee

Dr. Riad Al-Aila: Outside the framework of national consensus and in light of the current situation, the Gaza Strip Administration Committee will not succeed

Months after announcing the agreement to form a “community support committee” as a “local alternative” to the national consensus government to manage the Gaza Strip, the Palestinian government announced in its weekly session last Tuesday the formation of a working committee to manage the affairs of the Gaza Strip. This comes more than two weeks after the start of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and the start of preparations for the second phase of the agreement.

Prime Minister Dr. Mohamed Mustafa said during his speech at the opening of the session: “The government, as part of its ongoing efforts, in coordination with our brothers, especially the Republic of Egypt and the concerned parties, and with direct instructions from the President, is working to accelerate the delivery of humanitarian aid, open roads, remove rubble, and provide suitable gatherings to shelter those whose homes were destroyed, in preparation for comprehensive reconstruction.”

Writers and analysts who spoke to “I” ruled out the possibility of the committee succeeding in its work outside the framework of national consensus and in light of the current situation. They stressed that the Palestinians must change direction and agree to form a national salvation government to replace the Cabinet Committee and the Community Support Committee, and that its primary goal should be to unify the Palestinians politically and strengthen their steadfastness.

It is unlikely that the Gaza Strip Administration Committee will achieve success.

Writer and political analyst Jihad Harb believes that the government’s announcement of the formation of a working committee to manage the Gaza Strip comes in the context of what the Palestinian government has talked about since its inception, with regard to caring for the sector and completing previous procedures related to the government emergency committee that was formed from all government institutions.

“Despite the importance of having a committee to manage the Gaza Strip, and although I prefer that the government be responsible for the Strip and not a committee branching off from it, the lack of understanding with the existing institutions in Gaza, which manage the government there, makes me not believe that this committee will achieve success, even if it is able to obtain an Arab or international incubator, because on the ground, it will not have the ability to work without coordination with the existing parties,” he added.

Regarding the solution required at this stage, Harb said: “In light of US President Trump’s recent statements, the Palestinians must change direction, meaning moving towards a real Palestinian partnership in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, and establishing a government or reaching an agreement to form a national salvation government, whose primary goal is to unify the Palestinians politically and strengthen their steadfastness.”

He explained that such a government, regardless of its form, whether it is made up of technocrats, independents, or even parties, will enjoy broad Arab support, especially in light of the confrontation with the new American administration and its statements regarding the ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians, and attempts to eliminate their existence not only geographically, but historically as well.

A rescue government of independents and technocrats to confront Trump's plans

Regarding the impact of accelerating the reconstruction process on Trump’s plans, Harb said: “When we have a national salvation government, preferably made up of independents or technocrats, this could limit the implementation of these plans. Personally, I prefer it to be made up of technocrats or independents, because they have the experience and knowledge in managing Palestinian public affairs, and they also have the competence and ability to make decisions without hesitation.”

He added: "The national salvation government we are talking about must be internationally and Arab accepted, and at the same time represent all Palestinians, because no government or committee can run the Gaza Strip without an understanding or agreement between the Fatah and Hamas movements."

Harb stressed that "no government can rule in the West Bank or Gaza without a partnership, regardless of the nature and size of this partnership between Fatah and Hamas or the rest of the Palestinian factions. There is no government that can work effectively without an understanding between the two main ruling parties in the West Bank and Gaza."

The next four years will be very pivotal.

For his part, writer Talal Okal considered that the situation is very delicate and dangerous, and that the next four years will be very critical, not only for the Palestinians, but for the entire Middle East region.

He added: "What Trump said after his meeting with Netanyahu is very clear. Trump is not joking, and the Palestinians are...

They were too late and did not read anything about future developments and the state of the conflict.”

He explained that issues such as displacement, imposing sovereignty over the West Bank, and determining the form of authority for the Palestinians, whether it be a state or non-state, were clear before Trump arrived.

He added: "The war is moving to another stage, and what is happening now in the West Bank is a repetition of what is happening in Gaza, and all of this is linked to the displacement plan."

He pointed out that Gaza was the beginning because of the pretext used by Trump, while in the West Bank, displacement attempts will increase more with the support of Netanyahu, with talk of Egypt and Jordan as potential areas for immigration, within the framework of a broader Israeli vision.

Awkal stressed that any form of official Palestinian action in the Gaza Strip has become a necessity, and this may be the last attempt to save what can be saved, and stop the displacement plans or repeat the war scenario again.

"I don't think Hamas is enthusiastic or happy to insist on remaining in official power in the Gaza Strip. This idea was proposed before and agreed upon, including by Fatah and under Egyptian sponsorship, but the Palestinian Authority and the PLO rejected it, and now they may be forced to return to it, because there is no other option to obstruct the American-Israeli project currently being proposed," he added.

He stressed that this matter must be understood by all parties, whether Hamas, the rest of the resistance factions, or any other Arab party.

Expect Israeli and American obstacles to the committee's work

Regarding the possibility of the committee’s success, Awkal said: “There will certainly be clear Israeli and American obstacles, and Israeli rejection is strongly present, and there is no Arab readiness to protect this proposal or this initiative.”

He added: "Over the past 15 months, we have seen the limits of the Arab position, and it was not effective in stopping the war or confronting the Israeli plans, so a new step is necessary, regardless of how successful it is, because there are simply no other alternatives."

Awkal stressed that the only solution is to move forward with this idea, and the necessity of holding a quick dialogue about it, so that the Palestinians agree on the powers of this committee, its relationship with the authority and the official position, and its connection to the West Bank.

At the end of his statement, Awkal stressed the importance of everyone showing tolerance and flexibility, adding: "There are no other ideas currently on the table, and talk about restoring unity and reconciliation is just empty talk at this stage, as no attempts have succeeded during the past period."

Facing developments and challenges in a state of weakness, fragmentation and deterioration

In turn, writer and political analyst Abdul Marouf considered the Palestinian government’s announcement of the formation of a committee to administer the Gaza Strip without the participation of Hamas, as confirming once again: First, the state of Palestinian division, and that reconciliation between “Fatah” and “Hamas” is a figment of the imagination, and that the meetings and conferences of the factions’ leaders in the world’s capitals are a waste of time.

He added: Secondly, the Palestinian movements have different points of view regarding the situation in the Gaza Strip and its impact on the course of the Palestinian cause. Hamas deals with the new reality as if it had achieved a historic victory. Fatah, on the other hand, sees what happened in Gaza as an ill-considered adventure and a humanitarian disaster that led to casualties, destruction, displacement and a sad humanitarian situation.

Marouf said that in the face of a fateful station in the history of the Palestinian cause and the challenges facing the Palestinian people, the factions go to read the current scene without a unified position and without any coordination, but rather go to confront the developments in a state of weakness, fragmentation and deterioration.

He stressed that the general Palestinian scene portends a future that does not inspire much hope in light of the treatment methods followed by the various Palestinian leaderships, and the arenas will remain open to dangerous possibilities: the continuation and escalation of the Israeli aggression in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, the displacement of the largest number of the Palestinian people from Gaza and the West Bank, with the aim of liquidating the Palestinian cause, and the expansion of the scope of the dispute between the Palestinian factions, which portends armed clashes between them, and spreads a state of despair and frustration among the Palestinian people.

The writer Marouf believes that if the Palestinian government in Ramallah decides to work on the ground to form a committee to administer Gaza without reaching an agreement with Hamas, this will entail many risks and will face strong opposition from other factions (Islamic Jihad and the Popular Front) and broad popular sectors in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, which makes its failure possible. If the Authority succeeds in imposing the committee, this will increase Palestinian conflicts, divisions and clashes.

Slogans and speeches are not enough to make Gaza administration successful

He added: "It is true that the Palestinian Authority relies in its political movement on its legitimacy, international and Arab relations, and the agreements signed with the Israeli side, and raises slogans that stir popular sentiments (unity of Palestinian lands, strengthening national unity), but these slogans and speeches are not enough to make the administration of Gaza successful in a way that guarantees security, stability, reconstruction, and a decent life."

Marouf stressed that the Hamas movement, which has extended its authority in Gaza since 2007, is dealing with the current reality as if it has achieved victory, and believes that the other Palestinian factions and their popular base are capable of preserving its role and position on the Palestinian scene.

Marouf concluded his statement by stressing that the Palestinian reality is becoming more bitter and tragic, and that all Palestinian factions, without exception, are no longer up to the challenges facing the Palestinian cause in general and in Gaza in particular. He said: The disagreement between Fatah and Hamas over options and policies increases the complexity and impotence of matters, and the current Palestinian situation does not deter aggression, does not restore legitimate rights, and does not help in the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.

The PLO has the mandate and legitimacy to administer Gaza.

The writer and political analyst Dr. Fawzi Al-Samhouri said: “The government’s decision to form a working committee to administer Gaza comes at an important time in terms of: First, it thwarts the opportunity for the Israeli colonial entity to perpetuate its control over the Strip under the pretext of the absence of a responsible party to administer the Gaza Strip, and its refusal for the Palestinian National Authority to assume full responsibility for the Gaza Strip.

Secondly, to stress that the Palestine Liberation Organization, the sole legitimate representative of the Palestinian people, is the only party with the mandate and legitimacy to assume the administration of Gaza, which constitutes an integral part of the occupied Palestinian state, and is internationally recognized as well as under the Oslo Agreement, according to Al-Samhouri.

Thirdly, a message to the international community to deal only with Palestinian legitimacy with regard to achieving security and stability for the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, and in re-securing basic and humanitarian needs of food, medicine, shelter and reconstruction, and a call to refuse to deal with any committee or body created by the Israeli enemy.

Fourth, work to establish the Palestinian people on their land, rejecting the conspiracy of forced displacement.

The success of the committee's work means the failure of Israel's plans

Al-Samhouri stressed that the committee will face challenges and obstacles from the Israeli occupation authorities to abort its work. He said that the success of the Palestinian government through the work of the committee means the failure of the American-backed Israeli plan to perpetuate the separation of the geography of the Palestinian state and abort the plan for total or partial displacement.

He believes that the decision to form the committee requires the concerted and unified efforts of all Palestinian forces, including parties, factions, civil society institutions, and popular activities, and rallying around the PLO and its internationally supported Palestinian strategy in confronting the Israeli colonial occupation and its plans to undermine the Palestinian people’s right to freedom, independence, and the establishment of their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.

Intensifying political, diplomatic and parliamentary efforts

Al-Samhouri stressed that the success of the committee's work requires intensifying political, diplomatic and parliamentary efforts at the Arab, Islamic and international levels to mobilize actual support for the committee's work, especially with regard to securing urgent financial support and basic aid for the Palestinian people.

He added: The success of the Palestinian committee's work is certainly available, but without international support by pressuring Israel, the agent of America, to end its aggression completely, lift the siege on the Gaza Strip, and not interfere in allowing or refusing to bring in reconstruction and development needs under flimsy pretexts that constitute a major obstacle to the success of the committee, meaning that the international will to support the committee represents a major factor.

Al-Samhouri stressed at the end of his statement to Al-Quds that according to international law, Israel bears the legal responsibility to compensate the Palestinian people for the material and moral damages they have suffered, and therefore bears full responsibility for rebuilding what it has destroyed under penalty of sanctions.

Forming a committee to administer Gaza in isolation from Hamas is an incorrect decision

In turn, writer and researcher Moein Al-Taher said: “I do not believe that the decision of the Palestinian Council of Ministers to form a committee to administer Gaza, without the participation of Hamas, is a sound decision, and I do not believe that the decision to form a committee for community support without the participation of the two parts of the homeland and the Palestinian Authority is a sound decision either.”

He added: "We must preserve the unity of the Palestinian political system and the right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state on their land."

Al-Tahir pointed out that the problem lies in the solution, especially after the recent statements of US President Trump, in which he spoke about an American occupation of the Gaza Strip, and the US ownership of the Strip, in addition to the clear displacement plan that was prepared and outlined months ago.

“I think this situation requires all parties, starting with President Mahmoud Abbas and Hamas, and passing through all the national forces, factions and figures, to take a different position from the ongoing disputes, and a position different from the silence that the Authority has maintained. It also requires a position that goes beyond merely continuing the war of genocide on the Gaza Strip. What is required is a position that ends the division and unites the Palestinian ranks. Without that, we will not be able to support the steadfastness of our people or confront the plans that Netanyahu and Trump are hatching,” he said.

Gaza will not be ruled by Hamas and will not be ruled without it

Al-Tahir stressed: "I do not think that this committee will succeed in its work, as Gaza will not be ruled by Hamas, but at the same time, it is difficult to rule without it. Also, the Palestinian Authority cannot rule Gaza alone, as this will lead to more disagreements and division."

He concluded by saying: “The solution lies in forming a national consensus government that would replace the committee that the Cabinet issued a decision to form, as well as the community support committee that Egypt, Hamas and some factions are working to establish. It is necessary to form a national consensus government and a unified national leadership that will undertake all the dangerous tasks that threaten the entire Palestinian cause, whether in Gaza, the West Bank or in all of Palestine, in light of the liquidation plans that are being hatched against it.”

A step to keep the PLO away from carrying out its duties

For his part, Dr. Riyad Al-Aila, Professor of Political Science at Al-Azhar University in Gaza, stressed that any project or proposal to form a committee with multiple names to support the administration or otherwise is a step that supports the exclusion of the Palestine Liberation Organization from carrying out its duties as the sole representative of the Palestinian people and their cause.

“At the same time, the issue is not to remove Hamas, but there is a fundamental issue centered around the division, which requires ending it and strengthening national unity to confront the plans of the current American administration, which aims to liquidate the Palestinian cause and prevent the return of refugees to their cities and villages, even though the international organization confirmed in its charter their right to return, and for this purpose established the UNRWA to manage the refugee file until they return to their homes, in addition to the necessity of building an independent state for the Palestinian people, similar to the rest of the peoples of the world who gained their independence,” he added.

He pointed out that the Palestinian people have been struggling for about eighty years to achieve this goal.

Al-Aila stressed that any thought of establishing a committee for management and support is consistent with the vision of those who consider it a means to end the Palestinian cause, calling for the complete cancellation of such ideas, because they constitute participation that does not serve the Palestinian people or their cause.

Regarding the chances of the committee’s work succeeding, Al-Aila said: “I believe that outside the framework of national consensus, it will not succeed, especially in light of the current situation, the ongoing massacres against the Palestinian people, and the recent statements of the American president regarding the occupation of the Gaza Strip.”

Trump imposes sanctions on the International Criminal Court

US President Donald Trump has issued an executive order imposing sanctions on the International Criminal Court, accusing it of targeting the United States and its ally Israel.

The move comes two days after Trump met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during Netanyahu's visit to Washington, D.C.

Neither the United States nor Israel recognize the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court, which issued an arrest warrant for Netanyahu and his former defense minister, Yoav Galant, on November 21, on charges of committing war crimes and crimes against humanity during the Israeli war on Gaza.

“The ICC’s recent actions against Israel and the United States set a dangerous precedent, directly threatening current and former U.S. personnel, including active duty members of the armed forces, with harassment, abuse, and possible arrest,” Trump said in his order.

“The United States will impose significant and tangible consequences on those responsible for ICC abuses, including blocking property and assets, as well as suspending entry into the United States of ICC officials, employees, and agents, as well as their immediate family members, because their entry into our nation would be detrimental to United States interests,” he said.

The new sanctions that the United States may impose on the International Criminal Court over its work are the second of their kind, as Washington imposed sanctions during the first Trump administration in 2020 on then-Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda and one of her senior aides over the court’s investigation into alleged war crimes committed by US forces in Afghanistan.

The International Criminal Court has 125 member states, and is a permanent court that can prosecute individuals for war crimes, crimes against humanity, genocide, and crimes of aggression against the territory of member states or aggression by their nationals.

UNICEF: One million children in Gaza suffer from psychological trauma

UNICEF spokeswoman Tess Ingram confirmed that “there are one million children in the Gaza Strip who suffer from psychological trauma.”

She added in an interview with Al Jazeera satellite channel, today, Thursday, that "the living conditions facing families in Gaza are dangerous. They need to provide drinking water, aid and blankets."

She pointed out that "10,000 aid trucks have entered Gaza so far, but we need more. We are trying to bring in clothes and food supplies for children in the Gaza Strip, and we have faced difficulty in bringing them in."

She pointed out that "if the desalination plants in Gaza are not operated, the children of the Strip will face health risks."

She noted that "the future of the Gaza Strip is decided by the residents of the Strip themselves, and they are determined to rebuild what was destroyed."

The ceasefire in the Gaza Strip came into effect on January 19, and its first phase will last for 42 days, during which negotiations will begin to begin a second and then a third phase, mediated by Egypt, Qatar, and the United States.

The agreement stipulates the start of indirect negotiations on the second phase no later than the 16th day, with the agreement to be completed before the end of the fifth week of the first phase.

Since then, four exchange operations have taken place, during which the disparity between the condition of the Palestinian prisoners released from the occupation’s prisons and those released by the resistance became apparent.

Between October 7, 2023 and January 19, 2025, the occupation forces, with American support, committed genocide in Gaza, leaving more than 159,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 14,000 missing, and one of the worst humanitarian disasters in the world.

Hebrew media: Netanyahu presented a plan in Washington to end the Gaza war... and his spokesman denies it

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has presented a plan in Washington to end the war in Gaza and release senior Palestinian security prisoners in exchange for the removal of senior Hamas leaders from the territory, The Times of Israel reported Thursday, a claim denied by a Netanyahu spokesman.

The newspaper quoted the Israeli website Walla as saying that Netanyahu's plan also includes moving to the second stage of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and Hamas relinquishing civil control over the Strip.

The Times of Israel reported that a spokesman for Netanyahu denied the matter, stressing that the Israeli Prime Minister did not present any plans regarding the second phase of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza.

The first phase of a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas went into effect on January 19 after a 15-month war, and included a halt to fighting and the release of some Israeli hostages held by Hamas in exchange for Israel releasing some Palestinian prisoners from its jails.

The first phase, brokered by Egypt and Qatar and backed by the United States, has been going on for six weeks and is largely holding, but the prospects for a lasting settlement are unclear.

The war in Gaza began after a Hamas-led attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, which, according to Israeli statistics, killed 1,200 people and took more than 250 hostages. Palestinian health authorities say the Israeli military campaign in Gaza has since killed more than 47,000 Palestinians.

Hamas and Netanyahu's government, which includes hardline ministers who opposed the ceasefire, say they are committed to reaching a consensus in the second phase, but each criticizes the other over the implementation of the agreement.

Israeli leaders say Hamas cannot survive in Gaza, but the movement seizes every opportunity to demonstrate the control it still exercises despite the deaths of many of its leaders and thousands of fighters during the war.

Israeli negotiating delegation heads to Doha on Saturday to complete prisoner exchange talks

The Israeli negotiating delegation will head to the Qatari capital, Doha, next Saturday, to resume prisoner exchange talks with Hamas.

The official Israeli Broadcasting Corporation said on Thursday that the delegation, which consists of officials from the General Security Service (Shabak) and the Intelligence Service (Mossad), will head to Doha on Saturday to complete the prisoner exchange deal talks.

According to the Authority, Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar gave orders to the negotiating team to prepare to complete the first phase of the deal and begin the second phase of the agreement.

The Israeli side is awaiting Hamas to publish a list of detainees on Friday, in preparation for their release scheduled for Saturday, according to the same source.

The body pointed to concerns in Israel that a series of statements made by US President Donald Trump regarding the seizure of Gaza and the displacement of Palestinians could harm the negotiations.

Since January 25, Trump has been promoting a plan to transfer the Palestinians of Gaza to neighboring countries such as Egypt and Jordan, which was rejected by both countries, and was joined by other Arab countries and regional and international organizations.

Negotiations on the mechanism for implementing the second phase of the agreement were scheduled to begin last Monday, on the 16th day of the ceasefire, but the Hebrew newspaper Haaretz quoted an unnamed member of the delegation accompanying Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on his trip to Washington as saying that the latter would not commit to implementing the second phase of the agreement without eliminating Hamas.

On January 19, a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement went into effect in three stages, each lasting 42 days. During the first, negotiations were held to start the second and third, with the mediation of Qatar and Egypt and the support of the United States.

Katz holds security consultations on options for displacing Gaza residents

Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz held a security consultative meeting this evening, Thursday, at the ministry’s headquarters in Tel Aviv, to discuss the possibility and options for displacing the residents of the Gaza Strip “voluntarily.”

“I welcome US President Donald Trump’s bold plan,” Katz said. “Gaza residents should be allowed to enjoy freedom of exit and immigration as is customary everywhere in the world. The plan will include exit options at land crossings as well as special arrangements for exits by sea and air.”

“Hamas has used the people of Gaza as human shields and built terrorist infrastructure in the heart of the population, and is now holding them hostage, extorting money from them using humanitarian aid, and preventing them from leaving Gaza,” he added.

He also pointed out that “countries such as Spain, Ireland, Norway and others, which have made false accusations and claims against Israel because of its activities in Gaza, are obligated by law to allow all Gazans to enter their territories and their hypocrisy will be exposed if they refuse to do so.”

He stressed that "there are countries, such as Canada, that have an organized immigration program and have previously expressed their desire to receive residents from Gaza."

Smotrich: We have been working on the Gaza displacement plan for months

Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich revealed that secret discussions had been going on for months regarding a plan to displace Gaza residents, noting that the previous US administration had prevented it from being made public.

In an interview with the “120 and One” podcast, Smotrich said: “We have been working on this for several months, but it could not be presented during the Biden administration for fear of an international decision preventing its implementation.”

He added: “With the support of the current US President, we can get two million Palestinians out of Gaza to help them start a new life elsewhere, which is the only solution to achieve peace and security for Israel, and improve the lives of these residents.”

China: Gaza belongs to the Palestinian people and is an integral part of the Palestinian territories

China Dragon TV: There has been extensive opposition from the international community to U.S. President Trump’s proposal to “clear out” and take over Gaza. What is China’s comment?

Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Guo Jiakun: Gaza belongs to the Palestinian people. It is an inalienable part of the territory of Palestine, not a bargaining chip for political games, still less a prey of the strong. The war has already left Gaza in devastation and suffering. The international community, major countries in particular, should join hands to make Gaza better, rather than worse, by providing humanitarian assistance and helping with its reconstruction. China firmly supports the legitimate national rights of the Palestinian people, believes that “the Palestinians governing Palestine” is an important principle that must be upheld in the post-conflict governance of Gaza, and opposes the forced displacement of the people of Gaza. China stands ready to work with the rest of the world for the realization of the two-State solution as the fundamental way forward, and for an early, just political settlement of the Palestinian question, namely, the establishment of an independent State of Palestine that enjoys full sovereignty based on the 1967 border and with east Jerusalem as its capital.

EU: Gaza is an integral part of the Palestinian state

European Union Commission spokesman Anwar Al-Anoni confirmed that the Gaza Strip is an integral part of the future Palestinian state.

This came in a press statement on Thursday, commenting on US President Donald Trump's plan to seize the Gaza Strip and displace Palestinians from it.

Al-Anoni explained that the European Union continues its full commitment to the two-state solution, which it sees as the only way to achieve lasting peace for both Palestinians and Israelis.

He added: "Gaza is an integral part of the future Palestinian state."

He stressed that the European Union's position is not to allow further forced displacement of Palestinians.

On Tuesday evening, Trump revealed during a press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House his intention to seize the Gaza Strip and displace the Palestinians from it, which sparked widespread regional and international rejection.

Since January 25, Trump has been promoting a plan to transfer the Palestinians of Gaza to neighboring countries such as Egypt and Jordan, which was rejected by both countries, and was joined by other Arab countries and regional and international organizations.

Trump's bomb in Gaza: A plan for a grand bargain or an illusion that will not come true?

Former US President Donald Trump has revealed his post-war plan for Gaza, proposing that the US take control of the Strip and displace its population to Egypt, Jordan and other countries.

This plan sparked a wave of rejection and condemnation from various parties, except for Israel, which welcomed the proposal.

Khamis Obaid Al Ali, a researcher specializing in Israeli affairs at the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research, confirmed during his interview with Sky News Arabia that “Trump’s plan aims to conclude a major regional peace deal in the Middle East, but it faces many obstacles.”

He added, "The challenges include the fate of Hamas and the residents of Gaza, in addition to the Israeli security institutions' rejection of the displacement proposal, due to its security implications."

Al Ali points out that “there are two main visions within Israel: the first is right-wing, which believes that the Jewish state should extend from the river to the sea, and the second is adopted by the security establishment, which believes that the only solution lies in establishing an independent Palestinian state to ensure Israeli national security.”

Gaza displacement plan and alternative plans

Gaza Strip.. Displacement Plan and Alternative Plans

Can the displacement be implemented?

Media professional and Palestinian affairs specialist Wael Mahmoud said in an interview with Sky News Arabia's newsroom that "the plan is a repetition of old attempts to displace Palestinians, but it clashes with the demographic and political reality in the region."

He added, "The Palestinian Nakba of 1948 is still fresh in people's minds, making any attempt at new displacement fraught with danger."

On the other hand, Mahmoud points out that “Arab support for the Palestinians is necessary, but the issue needs a new strategy to confront the American and Israeli plans that seek to liquidate the issue.”

Dr. Muhammad Mujahid Al-Zayat, advisor to the Egyptian Center for Thought and Studies, explains that “Egypt completely rejected any proposal to settle Palestinians in Sinai, because that conflicts with Egyptian sovereignty and aims to cancel the right of return.”

He added, "The American proposal is nothing but an extension of an old Zionist project that seeks to liquidate the Palestinian cause once and for all."

Washington and Israel: Alliance of Interest or Political Chaos?

For his part, former US diplomat Lincoln Bloomfield believes that "Trump views Gaza from the perspective of a businessman, not a head of state, which explains his unworkable proposals."

He added that "Israel itself may find itself in a predicament if it decides to go ahead with implementing this plan, because it will face fierce Palestinian and international resistance."

As the debate over the fate of the Gaza Strip continues, analysts agree that a political solution is the best way to achieve stability. As Al Ali explains, “The international community still supports the two-state solution, and this is the most realistic option to ensure security in the region.”

In light of this complex scene, questions remain: Will international pressure succeed in thwarting the displacement plan? Or is the region heading towards a new phase of escalation and instability? Only the coming days will be able to answer these questions.

Egypt rejects any proposal aimed at liquidating the Palestinian cause

The Arab Republic of Egypt has renewed its rejection of any proposal or concept that aims to liquidate the Palestinian cause by uprooting the Palestinian people or displacing them from their historical land and seizing it, whether temporarily or permanently, warning of the repercussions of these ideas, which constitute injustice and an infringement on the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, and that Egypt will not be a party to them.

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry warned in a statement of the repercussions of the statements issued by a number of members of the Israeli government regarding the beginning of implementing a plan to displace the Palestinian people from their land, which constitutes a violation of international law, international humanitarian law, and the most basic rights of the Palestinian citizen, and requires accountability.

She also stressed the need to deal with the roots of the conflict, which is represented by the existence of a people under occupation for decades, during which they have suffered from all forms of displacement, persecution and discrimination. This must be ended immediately and the Palestinian people must regain their inalienable rights in accordance with the references of international legitimacy.

The Minister of the Occupation Army, Yisrael Katz, "ordered the preparation of a plan that would allow the voluntary exit of the residents of Gaza from the Strip."

"I welcome Trump's bold plan," Katz wrote on the X platform. "The residents of Gaza must be allowed the freedom to leave and emigrate, as is the case all over the world."

Sa'ar: Hamas has no place in Gaza, and we will return to the military option if necessary

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar confirmed that Tel Aviv will not accept the presence of Hamas in the government of the Gaza Strip, stressing that UNRWA is not part of the solution in the Strip.

In press statements, Sa'ar said that Gaza has no future at the present time, considering that this is "an opportunity to build a better future for ourselves and for the Middle East."

He added that Tel Aviv is committed to implementing the ceasefire agreement in all its stages, but stressed that Hamas' rule of the Strip will make the lives of Palestinians "miserable."

He pointed out that Tel Aviv will not return to plans that have proven to have failed in Gaza, calling for allowing those who want to voluntarily immigrate to the area.

He warned that failure to achieve the goals through diplomatic means would push Tel Aviv to return to the military option.
