In response to Netanyahu.. Abu Rudeineh: The establishment of an independent Palestinian state is the only solution to achieve security
The official spokesman for the presidency, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, said, "The establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital is the only solution to achieve security and stability."
This came in response to the statements of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in which he said, "Israel must block the way for the Palestinians' aspirations for an independent state for them."
Abu Rudeineh added, "The Palestinian state exists and is recognized by more than 140 countries, and it only needs the end of the occupation to embody its independence."
And he continued: "The occupation is more important if it thinks that it can perpetuate this occupation by continuing the aggression against the Palestinian people, and escalating the policy of killing, settlement, land theft and other aggressive actions that violate international legitimacy resolutions, including Resolution 2334."
Abu Rudeineh stressed that Netanyahu's statements show the world the true Israeli intentions that reject international legitimacy and international law, and that there is no Israeli partner who wants to achieve peace based on international legitimacy.
He said, "The State of Palestine is an observer member of the United Nations and in many international and international institutions, and has received international recognition for that."
Abu Rudeineh called on the international community, especially the US administration, to intervene and hold Israel accountable for its actions and words that contravene international legitimacy, and to compel it to abide by what international legitimacy recognized against the Palestinian people, by embodying the establishment of its independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital on the 67 borders, so that the region can enjoy stability and peace.
