A public prosecutor's statement against 6 young men from the occupied interior on security charges during the Gift of Dignity

Ramallah - "Jerusalem" dot com - The Israeli Public Prosecution submitted to the Magistrate's Court in the city of Rishon LeZion, Thursday morning, a statement by a public prosecutor in preparation for filing indictments against 6 young men from the city of Taybeh in the occupied interior, for participating in the events of the Gift of Dignity in May 2021.

Lawyer Youssef Masarwa, who is assigned to defend one of the six detainees, said that the Israeli intelligence and police attribute suspicions to the youths about "shooting at policemen and trading weapons to carry out security operations."

And he continued, in a press interview, that the Israeli court released yesterday a seventh young man who was accused in the same file, leaving 6 young men in prison.

He pointed out that part of the six detainees are also accused of throwing stones, and part of them were arrested during the events and were released, as the Israeli police claim that they found new materials and evidence that incriminate them.

It is noteworthy that the occupation forces arrested about a month ago 3 young men from the city of Al-Taybeh on suspicion of shooting at Israeli policemen during the events of Gift of Dignity.
