The FBI raid of Trump's home hurts American voters' faith in the office

WASHINGTON - (Xinhua) -- The FBI's raid last week of former US President Donald Trump 's home in Florida damaged US voters' confidence in the office, according to a recent poll by US polling firm Rasmussen Reports.

Forty-four percent of American voters say the FBI raid of Trump's home has lowered their trust in the office, according to a new national telephone and Internet poll released Thursday.

The report, quoting Roger Stone, Trump's advisor, stated that there is "a group of politicized thugs at the head of the FBI and the bureau uses them as the personal Gestapo" of the current administration.
According to the poll, 53 percent of voters now agree with Stone's statement.
