A Palestinian citizen was martyred and six others were wounded with varying injuries, at dawn today, Friday, as a result of Israeli drones targeting a residential apartment in the heart of Gaza City. Medical and local sources reported that the martyr was identified as Muhammad Taysir Obaid, and he fell as a result of the raid that targeted the 'Al-Taj' building located on Al-Yarmouk Street, where the injuries included women and children who were inside the targeted home.
In a related context, Israeli aircraft launched another raid using a guided missile targeting a residential apartment on Al-Mu'assasat Street in the western part of Gaza City. Despite the extensive material damage to the building, no casualties or human injuries were reported in this attack, which comes as part of a series of ongoing aerial violations.
On the ground, the southern areas of the Gaza Strip witnessed ground military movements, as occupation army vehicles infiltrated dozens of meters into the vicinity of Street 16, east of Al-Qarara town, north of Khan Yunis city. This incursion was accompanied by intense gunfire and artillery shelling targeting agricultural lands and surrounding areas, before the infiltrating forces withdrew after several hours of the operation.
In the northern Strip, Israeli artillery continued its heavy shelling, targeting the eastern outskirts of Al-Tuffah neighborhood and various areas of Jabalia town. The artillery shelling coincided with intense gunfire from military vehicles stationed on the border strip, causing a state of panic among residents who suffer from the continuation of military operations despite the truce agreement.
In the coastal areas, Israeli warships opened heavy fire and launched a number of shells towards the beaches of Rafah and Khan Yunis cities. Displaced persons' tents in the western areas of Rafah city were also subjected to direct fire from military vehicles, exacerbating the humanitarian suffering of thousands who sought refuge in those areas in search of safety.
The latest statistics issued by the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip indicate that the toll of victims of Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement, which has been in effect since October 10, 2025, has significantly increased. The ministry documented the martyrdom of 1127 Palestinians and the injury of more than 3600 others, amid the continuation of military operations targeting civilians and infrastructure on a daily basis.
Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement have resulted in the martyrdom of 1127 Palestinians and the injury of 3643 others since last October.
