Intensive airstrikes on the city of Gaza despite the announcement to reduce military operations.

The Israeli army intensified its airstrikes since dawn on Sunday across wide areas in the Gaza Strip, particularly in neighborhoods of Gaza City, resulting in injuries to Palestinians, despite the occupation's announcement to reduce its military operations following a directive from U.S. President Donald Trump.

Several Palestinians were injured due to an Israeli airstrike targeting residential buildings around the aviation junction on Al-Thalathini Street in the Al-Sabra neighborhood south of Gaza City, according to local media.

Local sources reported that Israeli aircraft struck the Al-Tuffah neighborhood and Al-Jalaa Street in Gaza City. The occupation's artillery also targeted the Tel Al-Hawa neighborhood in the southwestern part of the city, and Israeli vehicles opened fire in the tunnel area of Gaza City.

Local sources confirmed that the Israeli artillery bombardment reached the north of the Al-Bureij camp in the central Gaza Strip.

This came after a bloody day in the Strip on Saturday, where the occupation's fire resulted in the martyrdom of 61 Palestinians, including 45 in Gaza City alone, following its claim of reducing military operations after U.S. President's call on Friday evening to immediately cease the bombardment in response to the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) reacting to his plan for ending the war and exchanging prisoners.

Following Trump's call on Friday, Israeli army radio reported that the political leadership directed to "stop the operation to occupy Gaza City and reduce military activity in the Strip to purely defensive."

Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with U.S. support, has been committing genocide in Gaza, resulting in 67,074 martyrs and 169,430 injured, most of whom are children and women, in addition to a famine that claimed the lives of 459 Palestinians, including 154 children.
