Hebrew media revealed today, Saturday, details of the preparations for the crucial round of negotiations to end the war in Gaza, indicating that the talks are likely to be held in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, and that U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff is on his way to the region.
Channel 12 reported that the current goal of the negotiations is to finalize the precise details of the first phase of the agreement.
The broadcasting authority affiliated with the occupation reported that Cairo is the likely venue for the new round of negotiations with Hamas.
It quoted informed sources expecting the arrival of U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff to the region soon to push for the completion of the agreement.
Channel 12 clarified that the specific aim of this round is to manage negotiations on three main items: the mechanism for the release of detainees, the names of Palestinian prisoners to be released, and the final withdrawal lines of the occupation forces.
