Settlers set up a camp near Gaza demanding the resumption of settlement and rejecting Trump's plan.

Dozens of right-wing settlers set up a camp on Thursday night near the northern border of the Gaza Strip, demanding that the occupying government allow them to return to former settlements inside the strip and rejecting the American plan to end the war.

The significance of this step, which received support from a Knesset member, lies in its direct challenge to the diplomatic path led by Washington, revealing the intentions of the extremist faction to impose an agenda for the complete reoccupation of the strip.

This move comes in the context of the growing voices of the far-right within the occupying society since the onset of the war on Gaza, which openly calls for the reconstruction of the settlements dismantled in 2005 in what was known as the "Disengagement Plan."
