The Chief of Staff of the Occupation Army warns Netanyahu: controlling the city of Gaza will take 6 months and will not achieve a complete victory.

The Hebrew Channel (12) revealed that the Chief of Staff of the Israeli occupation army, Eyal Zamir, informed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that the operation to take control of the city of Gaza would require 6 months, emphasizing that Hamas would not be defeated militarily or politically even after the city is occupied.

According to the channel, Zamir informed the political leadership that the ground operation the army is preparing to carry out in Gaza "will not achieve a complete resolution," indicating that his goal is to "align expectations" with the government regarding the anticipated results of the operation.

The Chief of Staff added in a closed session that achieving a "final resolution" requires expanding operations to other areas in the sector, including the central camps, which poses a "civilian challenge that the army is reluctant to bear."
