The Egyptian Foreign Minister, Badr Abdel Atti, confirmed that the famine in the Gaza Strip is complete and a result of human actions and the Israeli occupation, emphasizing his firm rejection of the liquidation of the Palestinian cause.
During a joint press conference with the Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, Abdel Atti stressed that any attempts targeting "UNRWA" are unacceptable, and that any alternative mechanisms have failed miserably.
Abdel Atti affirmed that the Rafah crossing "will not be a passage for the displacement of the Palestinian people from their lands," emphasizing that the issue of displacement is a "red line" for Egypt and is unacceptable under any name.
