The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced the martyrdom of a Syrian citizen and the injury of two others as a result of the airstrikes launched by the occupation army on the town of Deir Sryan in the Nabatieh governorate in southern Lebanon, in a new escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region. The ministry clarified that the strike targeted a garage for vehicles and bulldozers near inhabited homes, resulting in one martyr and injuries to others whose nationalities were not specified, while firefighting and ambulance teams continue to face difficulties in reaching the site of the strike due to the ongoing drone attacks.

In a related context, Israeli warplanes carried out a series of airstrikes targeting various areas between the towns of Zoutar, Hirmar al-Shuqif, and Adchit al-Qusair, leading to the destruction of infrastructure and terrorizing the residents, in a clear attempt to impose the occupation's control over the border areas. Local sources reported that the strikes also targeted the outskirts of the Litani River, reflecting the occupation's escalation of its aggression in southern Lebanon, despite the apparent calm that has prevailed in the region following the ceasefire agreement that came into effect last November.

In an official statement, the occupation army claimed that the strikes targeted military infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah, including weapon depots and missile platforms, in addition to facilities used for storing engineering equipment designated for the reconstruction of areas destroyed by the recent aggression. This comes at a time when the occupation continues to violate the agreement, having executed a partial withdrawal from southern Lebanon while maintaining control over five strategic hills, which threatens to ignite a new confrontation with Palestinian and Lebanese resistance and increases the suffering of civilians in the region.
