Hamas Conditions Entry of 250 Aid Trucks Daily to Resume Negotiations

Hebrew sources reported that the Hamas movement has halted its participation in the ongoing ceasefire negotiations in response to the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip. The sources clarified that the movement demanded the passage of no less than 250 humanitarian aid trucks daily to the sector as a fundamental condition to resume negotiations.

The Hamas movement made its decision not to participate in any discussions related to the ceasefire in protest against what it described as the occupying government's disregard for the sector's demands and guarantees for the continuous entry of aid. This stance comes amid the ongoing blockade imposed on Gaza, which has significantly worsened the humanitarian conditions.

The movement had announced that the continuation of the current situation threatens the lives of the residents, and that it will not return to negotiations until its demands regarding the facilitation of humanitarian aid entry are met. It indicated that this condition is a necessary step to end the long-standing humanitarian crisis.

In a related context, Palestinian sources confirmed that the recent escalation came after the occupying government refused to take tangible steps to ensure the regular entry of aid, which increased the suffering of the residents in the sector. They expressed hope that the occupying government would reconsider its positions and respond to the demands of the Palestinian people.
