Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he would only agree to a prisoner exchange deal if it was "good and beneficial" for Tel Aviv, claiming he rejects "bad deals."
Netanyahu added in his statements that the security of his entity and the well-being of its settlers require reaching carefully considered deals, not just quick fixes.
He noted that he had acted against the recommendations of several military officials regarding the possibility of the army withdrawing from some sites in Gaza.
Netanyahu claimed that he did not ignore warnings of imminent threats from Hamas before October 7.
