Netanyahu holds a meeting to assess the security situation in conjunction with the Doha talks.

The Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a security assessment meeting with ministers and security leaders, coinciding with the ongoing Gaza ceasefire talks in the Qatari capital, Doha.

She added that the meeting will be attended by the new Chief of Staff of the IDF, Eyal Zamir, Director of the Mossad Intelligence Service, David Barnea, Director of the General Security Service, Ronen Bar, Defense Minister Yisrael Katz, Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, Minister of Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer, and National Security Advisor Tzachi Hanegbi.

A Hamas spokesman said earlier that a new round of ceasefire negotiations in Gaza began on Wednesday, stressing that the movement is approaching these negotiations "responsibly and positively," including discussions with the US envoy for hostage affairs.
