Blinken: Pressure must be exerted on Hamas to reach an agreement

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken stressed that pressure must be exerted on Hamas in order to reach an agreement.

He pointed out that Hamas has reached a point where no one can save it, which requires serious steps from all concerned parties.

Blinken explained that despite previous efforts that had made progress, the negotiations had not yet resulted in an agreement. He stressed that the United States had worked with every possible partner to put real pressure on Hamas, with the aim of reaching an achievable agreement, stressing the need to be realistic in dealing with this issue.
