Israeli army again targets the Gaza police...dozens of dead in Nuseirat and Al-Maghazi

The Ministry of Interior in the Gaza Strip announced on Tuesday that 7 police officers and a number of bystanders were killed as a result of the Israeli army targeting a car carrying a number of police officers and members in Gaza City.

In a statement, the Ministry of the Interior condemned the targeting of the car in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City, which resulted in the death of 7 officers and police officers while carrying out their duty, in addition to the martyrdom of other bystanders, the number of whom was not specified.

It considered that Israel's repeated targeting of police officers in the Gaza governorates aims to "spread chaos among citizens," noting that "Israel continues to violate all international laws and norms, which criminalize targeting the police as a civil protection agency, which represents a challenge to the international community."

The Ministry called on international bodies to "pressure Israel to stop targeting members of the police force, who carry out the duty of civil service to our people."

Deaths in the Nuseirat and Maghazi camps

In addition, the Israeli army continues its military operation north of the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip for the sixth day in a row, with an escalation of air strikes and artillery shelling on various areas, resulting in a number of martyrs and wounded.

Al-Arabi correspondent Abdullah Miqdad reported that Israeli aircraft launched a series of raids on residential towers in the New Camp area in Nuseirat.

He added that the raids targeted the northern area of the Nuseirat camp, and the Israeli artillery also targeted various areas of the camp.

Medical sources reported that 3 people were killed, while a number of others were injured, described as "serious."

This comes as fierce clashes and battles continue between the resistance factions and the occupation army north of Nuseirat, while an Israeli helicopter supported the Israeli forces during the clashes.

Drones also opened fire on displaced people near Al-Mufti School in the vicinity of Khaled Al-Khatib Mosque, west of the Nuseirat camp, and in the vicinity of Abu Sarar roundabout and the northern areas of the camp, resulting in the death and injury of a number of them.

In the central Gaza Strip, about 12 Palestinians were killed, and dozens were injured, most of them women and children, after Israeli army targeted a densely populated street in the Maghazi camp.

Israeli vehicles are stationed in the Al-Mughraqa area and the residential city of Al-Zahraa in the north of Al-Maghazi camp, where they launch air and artillery attacks on the camp.
