Israel and Hamas agree to extend the truce for an additional day
On the 55th day of the Israeli war on Gaza, Qatar announced the extension of the temporary truce between Israel and the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) for a seventh day, amid intense efforts to turn it into a permanent ceasefire.
Qatar confirms the extension of the truce in Gaza
The Qatari Foreign Ministry confirmed the extension of the truce between Israel and the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) until tomorrow morning, Friday.
The Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the Palestinian and Israeli sides reached an extension of the truce in the Gaza Strip for an additional day.
The Foreign Ministry indicated continued intensification of efforts with the aim of reaching a permanent ceasefire in Gaza.
Since last Friday morning, a temporary humanitarian truce began in Gaza under an agreement between Israel and Hamas that was reached with Qatari-Egyptian mediation and American support, which includes the release of Palestinian prisoners and Israeli detainees and the introduction of aid into the besieged Strip.
