Americans for Justice in Palestine (AJP Action) has called for Israel to be denied entry to the US Visa Waiver Program.
The organization said that Israel does not meet the eligibility criteria for the visa program as a result of its continued systematic discrimination against US citizens and Palestinians, and in light of the restrictions on travel of Palestinian Americans to Gaza.
The organization believes that the escalation of protests and conflicts in Israel and the increase in international scrutiny of the authoritarian policies of the occupation government, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, requires a re-evaluation of the negotiating conditions for Israel's entry into the visa waiver program, and discrimination against American citizens should never be tolerated, especially in the context of a program based on Principles of mutual respect and equality.
The organization declared its solidarity with individuals who face such unfair treatment by the occupation authorities, its opposition to entering Israel into the visa waiver program, and delivering a message to the Biden administration that partial solutions to systemic discrimination in Israel are not sufficient, as the time has come for full accountability.
