Seven new Israeli settlements have been established in the occupied West Bank since the attack that took place last Tuesday at Eli settlement, in which two Palestinian gunmen killed four settlers, according to Yedioth Ahronoth.
The newspaper claimed that this happened with the knowledge of the politicians, and comes alongside Netanyahu's announcement of building 1,000 units in the Eli settlement and 4,500 other settlement units days earlier.
The newspaper pointed out that these outposts were established in the areas of Ramallah, Nablus, Bethlehem and Hebron.
Hundreds of settlers have also headed to the Evyatar outpost, near the Palestinian town of Beita, and are still awaiting a decision from the politicians about their future. The takeover of Palestinian land near Evyatar, which was evacuated two years ago, led to a severe army crackdown against Palestinian protesters, leaving at least eight dead.
Yedioth Ahronoth also quoted a political source: "Israel may find itself politically isolated if the situation continues in this way."
