The Asian Football Confederation (AFC ) condemned the Israeli occupation forces’ attack with toxic tear gas canisters on the Martyr Faisal Al-Husseini Stadium during the Abu Ammar Championship final match last Thursday.
The federation said in a statement, today, Saturday, "We condemn the unjustified and horrific attack carried out by the Israeli forces against the players and fans during the Abu Ammar championship final match, which brought together the Balata Center and Jabal Al-Mukaber teams at Faisal Al-Husseini International Stadium in Al-Ram."
He called for "an end to all forms of violence carried out by the Israeli forces against the Palestinian people," stressing "its unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian Football Association and the entire football community in Palestine."
The federation indicated that "during this attack, the Israeli forces used tear gas and rubber-coated metal bullets, which led to stopping the match, as a result of many players and fans, including children and women, suffering from shortness of breath, as a result of gas inhalation, and they had to be treated on the field." or take them to the hospital.
