Astana - "Jerusalem" dot com - President Mahmoud Abbas arrived, this evening, Wednesday, the Republic of Kazakhstan, on an official visit, to participate in the sixth summit of the "Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia" (SICA), to be held in the Republic of Kazakhstan , with the participation of a number of Leaders of member states, heads of government, regional and international organizations.
During his visit, he will meet with a number of leaders of the countries participating in the summit, to discuss regional and international issues of common concern. His Excellency will also inform them of the latest developments on the Palestinian level, and the Israeli occupation's violations against our people.
The President is accompanied by: Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization Hussein Al-Sheikh, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Riyad Al-Maliki, Head of the General Intelligence Service Major General Majid Faraj, Adviser to the President for Diplomatic Affairs Majdi Al-Khalidi, and Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Kazakhstan Montaser Abu Zaid.
The "SICA" organization includes 27 countries as permanent members, and 8 other countries as observer states and 5 international organizations. Vast resources and intellectual potential, along with fast-growing transportation corridors and markets, which together produce more than 50% of global GDP, and provide two-thirds of global economic growth.
