The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced, on Wednesday, that it will disburse cash assistance to 48 families whose homes were damaged during the 3-day military escalation in August 2022, as of tomorrow, Thursday.
These payments will cover rent allowance for affected families from January 2023 until June 2023.
UNRWA said that it will continue to pay rent allowances to eligible families affected by the escalation that occurred in May 2021, as 187 affected families will be able to receive their cash assistance, starting today, Wednesday, through local banks.
She indicated that 474 families whose homes were damaged during the May 2021 conflict have moved to their recently reconstructed homes.
