A citizen and his wife were injured this evening, Saturday, as a result of an attack by armed settlers on them in the Ashkara area, south of Hebron.

Anti-settlement activist Osama Makhamra stated that a number of settlers from the "Susya" settlement attacked farmers from the Nawaj'a family in the Ashkara area located southeast of Yatta and near the archaeological site of Khirbet Susya, and assaulted them, resulting in injuries to citizen Nabil Nawaj'a and his wife Raihan Nawaj'a with bruises and contusions.

Makhamra pointed out that the settlers broke several trees and cut barbed wire surrounding the citizens' lands in the Ashkara area.

According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, the occupation forces and settlers carried out a total of 2,215 attacks during the month of September, where the occupation army executed 1,725 attacks, while the settlers carried out 490 attacks.

The attacks ranged from armed assaults on Palestinian villages, imposing facts on the ground, field executions, destruction and leveling of lands, uprooting trees, seizing properties, and closures and barriers that disrupt the geography of Palestine.
