Some Members of the European Parliament wore red shirts today, Wednesday, in solidarity with the Gaza Strip, and to condemn Israel's crossing of boundaries by continuing its genocide against the Palestinians.
This took place during a session of the European Parliament's General Assembly in Strasbourg, France, just before European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen delivered her speech.
Members from the Socialist and Democratic Parties, the Greens, and the Left participated in the protest, holding a red ribbon in their hands, signaling Israel's crossing of all red lines in Gaza.
Some also wore badges shaped like watermelons (colored in the colors of the Palestinian flag) to express solidarity with the Palestinians, condemning the silence regarding the aggression and genocide committed by the occupation.
Members from different parties hold a red ribbon to condemn the occupation's violations.
