Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid confirmed on Sunday that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government prefers to destroy the towers in the Gaza Strip rather than negotiate for the return of the prisoners held in the area.
In statements made by Lapid during an interview with the newspaper "Maariv," he said: "The government prefers to destroy the high towers in the Gaza Strip rather than negotiate for the return of our sons from the area."
He emphasized that Hamas has informed mediators of its readiness to conclude a partial or comprehensive deal, but "Netanyahu does not respond."
