The Israeli occupation army committed new massacres against civilians in the Gaza Strip on Thursday, resulting in the deaths of 75 Palestinians, 53 of them in Gaza City and the northern Gaza Strip, according to medical sources.
Medical sources said that 22 of the martyrs were among those waiting for aid, noting that Al-Awda and Al-Aqsa Martyrs hospitals received 16 martyrs and dozens of wounded as a result of the occupation army's firing of bullets and grenades at those waiting for aid near a distribution center near the Netzarim axis (central Gaza Strip).
Eyewitnesses reported that occupation forces stationed around the Netzarim axis opened machine gun fire on hundreds of young men who had gathered to wait for the opening of the American aid center.
They added that occupation drones dropped a number of bombs on the youths, resulting in deaths and injuries.
The dead and wounded remained on the ground for several hours until ambulance crews were able to retrieve them due to the intensity of the gunfire and the dangerous nature of the area, according to witnesses.
Five Palestinians were also killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting a house in the Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City, while the occupation army blew up houses east of Jabalia al-Balad, north of the Strip.
Meanwhile, Palestinian sources reported from Al-Shifa Hospital that 15 people were killed and dozens injured in Israeli airstrikes on Al-Shati refugee camp and Al-Jalaa Street in Gaza City.
In Khan Yunis, six Palestinians were killed and dozens injured when an Israeli vehicle bombed people waiting for aid on al-Tina Street, southwest of the city in the southern Gaza Strip.
Beyond the supervision of the United Nations and international relief organizations, Tel Aviv began implementing an aid distribution plan on May 7 through the so-called "Gaza Humanitarian Foundation," which is supported by Israel and the United States but rejected by the United Nations.
Targeting operations linked to the so-called "US-Israeli aid traps" have resulted in the deaths of 300 Palestinians, the injury of 2,649 others, and the disappearance of nine people since the launch of this plan.
A medical source reported on Thursday that three Palestinians were killed and several others injured when a helicopter fired a missile at an apartment building near the Palestine Mosque in central Gaza City.
The occupation army sponsors organized gangs that loot aid in the Gaza Strip, and has officially acknowledged funding, arming, and protecting them during their operations.
Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation has been committing genocide in the Gaza Strip, including killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring all international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt it.
The genocide, backed by the United States, left more than 185,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing. Hundreds of thousands were displaced, and a famine claimed the lives of many, including children.
