Hebrew media reported on Thursday that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held security deliberations in the Southern Command, with the participation of senior officials in the occupation army and security services, regarding field developments in the Gaza Strip.
According to Hebrew media, the meeting discussed security developments and scenarios for dealing with a possible escalation.
The meeting was preceded by a security assessment session chaired by the Israeli Minister of War, Yisrael Katz, in preparation for a meeting with Netanyahu.
The meeting was also attended by the current Chief of Staff, Herzi Halevi, and the appointed Chief of Staff, Eyal Zamir, along with a number of officials in the occupation's Ministry of War.
