The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced, on Saturday evening, that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression on the country since October 8, 2023, has risen to 2,255 dead and 10,524 wounded.
The ministry said in a statement that "during the past 24 hours, 26 dead and 144 wounded were recorded," according to the Lebanese News Agency.
Since September 23, Israel has expanded the scope of the genocide it has been committing in Palestine since October 7, 2023, to include most of Lebanon’s regions, including the capital Beirut, through unprecedentedly violent and intense airstrikes. It has also begun a ground incursion into the south, disregarding international warnings and UN resolutions.
These raids, until Saturday evening, resulted in 1,437 dead and 4,123 wounded, including a large number of women and children, and more than 1,340,000 displaced persons, according to official Lebanese data.
