US President Joe Biden confirmed that talks in the Qatari capital, Doha, regarding the Israeli occupation's aggression on the Gaza Strip are still ongoing, noting that he made a phone call in this regard.
Biden said that Hamas is represented in the Doha talks through Egyptian and Qatari mediators.
For his part, White House National Security Communications Advisor John Kirby said that the start of the talks in Doha was promising, and that they were likely to continue until Friday.
Kirby pointed out that the two parties, Hamas and the Israeli occupation, reviewed the proposed agreement on Gaza and submitted changes to it, and the details of its implementation are being discussed, not the framework.
Kirby explained that Hamas's involvement in Thursday's talks in Doha is similar to what happened in previous talks.
