The Israeli organization "Breaking the Silence" said, "A war of revenge in the Gaza Strip will not bring us security."
This was stated by the organization's Executive Director, Avner Gvaryahu, who is also a former soldier in the Israeli army, in an interview with the American CNN network, on Friday evening.
Gvaryahu described the Israeli government as "unconscious" and in a "state of intoxication due to the war of revenge taking place in Gaza" since last October 7.
He added: "I firmly believe that we Israelis have the right to security, and I do not believe that what we are doing in Gaza helps achieve that."
Gvaryahu continued: “I fear that this government is drunk on revenge and unable to return our hostages” from the Gaza Strip.
"Breaking the Silence" is an Israeli non-governmental organization that publishes testimonies of former soldiers about army violations in the occupied Palestinian territories.
