The Israeli army announced on Thursday that five of its soldiers were killed in Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip and others were wounded.
The army statement stated that the killing of four recruits from the parachute division and a commander from their unit occurred yesterday, Wednesday.
He also indicated that 8 other soldiers were injured in the battles.
