Member of the Hamas Political Bureau, Izzat al-Rishq, confirmed on Monday that a permanent ceasefire is the only guarantee to protect the Palestinian people and stop the torrent of blood and massacres.
Al-Rishq said, in press statements: “There is no concession to complete withdrawal and the free return of the displaced,” stressing at the same time that attempts by Netanyahu and his government to release the prisoners by force have failed and there is no alternative to a real deal with the resistance.
He pointed out that Israel wants a temporary agreement to release its prisoners, after which the war and genocide will resume.
Al-Rishq also confirmed that Israel, after more than six months, is still floundering and has not and will not achieve any victory.
He stressed that Israeli targeting of civilians and all aspects of civilian life are signs of defeat, not preludes to victory.
He concluded his speech by emphasizing that “Israel” is a pariah, and world public opinion stands with the Palestinian people and their just cause.
