Israeli forces obstruct citizens’ access to Al-Aqsa and harm a number of young men

The Israeli forces continued to impose severe restrictions and restrictions on citizens’ access to the occupied city of Jerusalem, to perform the prayers on the third Friday of the month of Ramadan, in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Israeli forces reinforced their presence at the military checkpoints leading to the city of Jerusalem, checked the identities of citizens, and prevented hundreds of them from reaching the city to perform Friday prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque, under the pretext of not obtaining the necessary permits.

According to local sources, the Israeli forces prevented hundreds of elderly West Bank residents with permits from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque, through their checkpoints spread around the Holy City, specifically the Qalandiya, Bethlehem, and Zaytouna checkpoints.

Inside the city of Jerusalem, eyewitnesses said that the occupation forces deployed iron barriers in the path of worshipers, especially at the entrances to Al-Aqsa Mosque, on Al-Wad Road, and near Bab Al-Sahira and Al-Asbat, and obstructed their movement and access to the mosque.

Video clips published by activists showed the Israeli forces ghosting young men on the walls of the Old City of Jerusalem, searching them and harassing a number of them.
