The Israeli "Wala" website reported - from unnamed officials - that the United States' proposal to release 700 Palestinian prisoners, including 100 life sentencers, was approved in exchange for Hamas's release of 40 Israeli prisoners in Gaza.
These officials also stated that Israel is ready to be flexible regarding the return of the displaced from the south of the Gaza Strip to its north, which is one of the main points of contention in the indirect negotiations with Hamas, according to Israeli officials.
They also said that they are awaiting Hamas' response to the American mediation proposal, and it is estimated that Hamas will respond within the next two days.
