Palestinian National Council holds Israel responsible for shelling Gaza and affirm right to self defense

The head of the Palestinian National Council, Rawhi Fattouh, held the racist Israeli occupation government fully responsible for the attacks and bombings taking place in the Gaza Strip.

Fattouh said in a statement issued by the National Council, today, Saturday, that Israel’s rejection of any political process to bring about peace, its continued denial of the rights of our people, its failure to recognize the existence of a Palestinian people as Netanyahu reviewed in his recent speech at the United Nations, the legitimization of new settlement outposts, and the illegal seizure On the occupied Palestinian land, giving the colonialists the green light to kill Palestinians and protecting them from any legal accountability, the daily killings and executions in Palestinian cities and towns, the repeated raids on Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the attacks on worshipers, ignited the region and exploded the powder keg that we have repeatedly warned the right-wing government about.

Fattouh, who is now in Gaza, added that our people are one in the Palestinian territories and the diaspora, and they have the right to defend themselves and their land, and protect their sanctities, and resistance is a legitimate right for all peoples who are subject to occupation and persecution, including the Palestinian people, the only people who suffer from the racism and fascism of the occupation. .

Fattouh called for urgent intervention from the Security Council and the United Nations to protect the Palestinian people and oblige Israel to respect international resolutions and conventions that protect civilians in times of war and conflict.

The Revolutionary Council of the Fatah movement also affirmed the right of the Palestinian people to defend themselves within the framework of their national unity, which must be preserved by all parties on the Palestinian scene, and that Fatah is involved in defending our people everywhere.

The Revolutionary Council stressed the need to deepen cohesion in this heroic battle, hoping that everyone would defend our villages, towns, cities and everywhere against the attacks of the occupation and its settlers.

The following is the text of the Revolutionary Council’s statement:

In front of the greatness of our people as they fight the battle to defend their dignity and sanctities, at the forefront of which is the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, the first qibla for Muslims, and in front of what happened and is happening to steadfast Gaza, which has been subjected and continues to be subjected to the ugliest siege that has been ongoing for more than twenty years, where our people have shown a historical heroism of which they are proud.

Our people have presented successive heroics since the beginning of the revolution on January 1, 1965, and the subsequent victory in the Battle of Karama, and the heroics of our people in Ashqif Castle and their successive uprisings in order to gain freedom and independence.

Our people are defending their Islamic, Christian, and Al-Aqsa sanctities in light of the continued violations of the occupation and settlers against them in the face of suspicious international silence, as the government of Netanyahu, Ben Gvir, and Smotrich unleashed the fascist settlers to rampage and kill against our defenseless people, their sanctities, and their prisoners in the occupation’s prisons.

We in the Revolutionary Council affirm the right of the Palestinian people to defend themselves within the framework of their national unity, which must be preserved by all parties on the Palestinian scene, stressing that the Fatah movement is involved in defending our people everywhere, stressing to the people of Fatah in particular and to all our people the necessity of deepening cohesion in This heroic battle, we hope that everyone will defend our villages, towns, cities and everywhere from the attacks of the occupation and its settlers.

Report: Trump revealed nuclear secrets to a friend, and the latter did a lot

A news report accused former US President Donald Trump of divulging US nuclear secrets to a foreign millionaire who is a member of the Mar-a-Lago Club in Florida.

Sources told ABC News that Trump discussed sensitive information about US nuclear submarines with Australian billionaire Anthony Pratt.

But the latter did not remain silent, as he passed this information to dozens, including more than a dozen foreign officials and journalists, and it even went so far as to inform some of his employees of this information.

This report comes in the midst of the legal battles that Trump is waging following the successive accusations against him, including keeping secret documents after leaving the White House.

The network reported that the former US President discussed sensitive information with the Australian billionaire months after leaving the presidency.

The discussion took place at Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida.

The American network said that the team of special investigator Jack Smith, who is supervising two separate investigations into Trump, including the investigation related to secret documents, was briefed.

This information sheds more light on how Trump handles sensitive US government secrets.

Prosecutors and FBI agents interviewed the Australian billionaire at least twice this year.

In the two interviews, the man talked about how he looked forward to having chats with Trump at the club in April 2021, and in this meeting, Trump spoke about the American nuclear submarine fleet, something the two had discussed before.

Ben Gvir and Smotrich criticize Netanyahu and Gallant over the town of Huwwara

On Friday, two extremist ministers in the Israeli government criticized their Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, and his Army Minister, Yoav Galant, against the backdrop of the decision to close the main street of the town of Huwwara, which is the road taken by settlers, against the backdrop of recent events.

The Minister of the so-called National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, said that it is not possible and reasonable for the street to be closed due to the funeral of a “despicable, accursed terrorist” who shot a settler and her child yesterday.

It seems that Ben Gvir does not know that the Israeli army originally detained the body of the martyr Jamal Al-Majzoub, who is accused of carrying out the shooting operation he spoke about, and that the closure of the char was during the funeral procession of the other martyr, Labib Damidi, who was killed by settlers in their attack on the town yesterday.

Ben Gvir considered that Hawara and its central street are a central axis in the West Bank that passes through “the heart of our country,” as he described it.

Ben Gvir called on Gallant to come to his senses and stop this chaos in Hawara, saying: “Hawara’s law is like Tel Aviv’s law.”

For his part, Smotrich said that he received a message stating that the road would be closed, and he immediately called Netanyahu’s military secretary, Avi Gil, and asked him for clarifications and informed him that such a decision was unacceptable, illegal, and harmed the settlers, and that Gil informed him that the decision was temporary due to an uncontrollable event related to the disembarkation of Palestinians. The road was suddenly opened, and the Israeli army did not prepare for it until it increased its forces and set up barriers to prevent any friction. Then Netanyahu ordered the speedy opening of the road.

Smotrich says it later emerged from a statement by the Israeli army that the closure of the road continued for 4 hours due to the funeral of the Palestinian, which contradicts what he was informed of. He considers this a dangerous event with dire consequences, calling for a comprehensive investigation into the case.

Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement criticizes Palestinian Authority, vows continuing resistance

On Friday, the Secretary-General of Islamic Jihad, Ziyad al-Nakhalah, accused the Palestinian security services of pursuing and arresting members and cadres of his movement on American and Israeli orders.

In a speech at a central festival commemorating the launch of his movement, Al-Nakhalah said, “The model of the Palestinian Authority and its security services, which are supervised by American generals, in terms of training and preparation, and the provision of budgets and weapons, is only a small example of everything that is happening in our region.” like he said.

He added: "Israel is killing us with an American weapon, and our so-called security services are pursuing us and arresting us by an American-Israeli decision as well."

Al-Nakhalah attacked the international position biased towards the occupation, and the continued provision of support by America and its allies to the occupation in all fields, directing criticism at the Arab countries that he said were rushing to normalization and stood by "Israel."

The Secretary-General of Islamic Jihad renewed his movement’s position rejecting the Oslo Accords and what followed, and said: “The Oslo Accords are exactly like a mother who killed her child and gave her a doll instead and the doll became the child and the mother lost her mind, because she began to believe that the doll was her real child.”

He added: "Thirty years have passed since Oslo, and we are still in the same place. We still disagree on the description of the organization and its role, and those who head the organization and others still believe that the doll is the real child."

He continued: “What does the organization or authority mean? Settlement is filling the West Bank like a cancer, Jerusalem has been Judaized as a city and a mosque, the killing continues, the arrests have not stopped, and the demolition of homes under false pretexts is still continuing.”

He continued: "Israel says: There is no Palestinian state, nor do those who support it, and everything that is happening on the ground is evidence of that. Therefore, this deception must stop, and we face the truth as it is, and we bear our responsibilities and we all stand up without exception."

He continued: "Our battle continues, and our people want their freedom. The resistance forces must rise to the challenge and meet the ambition of our people, and not meet the general secretaries to fill the void of time and issue decrees that fundamentally contradict the aspirations of our Palestinian people."

He stressed that the necessary unity is based on confronting the occupation and not accepting it, through a coherent national program that does not know compromise or courtesy, and does not know contradiction, neither within it, nor with the slogans of its bearers. like he said.

He added: "We will not suffocate in the middle of the road. We have paid dear prices and we still must and always must remember that we are not a passing people in this sacred geography."

He continued: "We are pushing ourselves and our children into the battlefields and we realize that we will pay a heavy price, but doesn't Jerusalem deserve that?! Doesn't our march towards Palestine deserve that?! Doesn't the history that we write with our blood deserve to be as we want it to be?! .. Who did not fight for this? "He was killed by endless humiliation and subordination."

He stressed that the resistance continues and will not stop, referring to the battles it fought in Gaza, the West Bank and elsewhere, and the Freedom Tunnel operation that resulted in the formation of the Al-Quds Brigades in the West Bank, and the subsequent battles in Gaza in which the occupation cities were within range of its missiles.

He said: The brigades of our movement are present, fighting and defending the Palestinian people throughout the West Bank, from the Tulkarm Brigade, which responded to a major aggression against its camp, to the Nablus Brigade and the Tubas Brigade, whose presence did not stop jihad and resistance, to the Jabaa Brigade, and the Aqabat Jabr Brigade.

He stressed the importance of the unity of the resistance forces in order to achieve the goals of the Palestinian people, the importance of paying attention to the popular incubator of the resistance, and that the issue of the prisoners will remain the daily concern of the resistance to liberate them.

He said: We will remain united with the Hamas movement and the resistance forces in Palestine until the goals of our people of freedom and liberation are achieved.

US White House is planning direct meeting between Biden and Xi Jinping in California

The Washington Post newspaper revealed on Friday that the White House has begun making plans to hold a meeting in the American city of San Francisco (in the state of California) next November between US President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping - in an attempt to ease tension and achieve stability in the country. The relationship between the two most powerful countries in the world, senior administration officials told the newspaper.

The newspaper attributed an administration official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the participation had not yet been officially announced, as saying, “It is a very firm matter, and we have begun the planning process,” while another senior administration official said that Biden is looking forward to meeting Xi, but "Nothing has been confirmed yet."

Chinese President Xi's meeting with Biden is expected to be confirmed, and its date will be set after Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi's visit to Washington in the coming weeks.

This personal meeting, which will be held on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum between November 11 and 17 in the city of San Francisco on the west coast of the United States, will be the first between the leaders of the two largest economies in the world since they met on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Bali, Indonesia, in November of last year, when the two presidents emphasized the importance of face-to-face diplomacy and expressed their hope that they could put US-China relations back on track.

The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) is a regional economic forum established in 1989 to take advantage of the growing interconnectedness of the Asia-Pacific region.

Relations between the two countries worsened after Biden ordered the shooting down of a Chinese balloon, which Washington claimed was a spy balloon, over the United States last February.

In an attempt to re-engage, four senior Biden administration officials have visited the Chinese capital, Beijing, in recent months: Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, Treasury Secretary, Janet Yellen, Commerce Secretary, Gina Raimondo, and climate envoy, John Kerry.

Last month, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan held two days of talks with Wang in Malta.

The White House described these talks as "frank, objective, and constructive," but communications between senior American military officials and their counterparts in Beijing remain "frozen" despite repeated initiatives from the American side.

Observers are looking to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit in San Francisco as the appropriate venue for this meeting.

The American website Axios revealed that Senator Joni Ernst (Republican from Iowa) will visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Israel in the next few days at the head of a delegation from both parties, Democratic and Republican, in Congress.

The visit of Ernst and her colleagues to the Middle East comes amid the White House's efforts to reach a huge deal with Saudi Arabia and Israel in the next few months before the presidential elections consume President Biden's agenda.

According to the website, “Ernest and her accompanying delegation will visit Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates,” where “Ernest’s office said that the delegation is expected to meet with several leaders of countries in the region.”

“A source familiar with the nature of the visit said that Ernst and members of the delegation are expected to meet with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, while an Israeli official said that she is also expected to meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with the delegation,” according to the website.

It is noteworthy that Senator Ernst is the “co-chair” of the so-called “Abraham Accords Group in Congress,” and she plays an important role in the “mega deal” talks that the White House is negotiating regarding a potential security agreement between the United States and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and potential American support. A Saudi civilian nuclear program, and American approval for advanced weapons sales to the Kingdom.

According to the website, “Biden’s advisors are negotiating separately with Saudi, Israeli, and Palestinian officials about a potential peace agreement between Saudi Arabia and Israel that could include Israeli concessions in the occupied West Bank.”

If a huge agreement is reached, some parts of it will likely be approved by the Senate. This means that a Biden administration will need support from both Republicans and Democrats — including those who are critical of the Saudi or Israeli governments, or both.

It is noteworthy that a group of 20 Democratic senators sent a letter to US President Biden on Wednesday, urging the administration to demand that Israel make “meaningful and enforceable” concessions to the Palestinians as part of any future agreement.

Several Palestinian Arrests and injuries in separate confrontations in West Bank

A number of citizens were injured by live bullets, rubber-coated bullets, and suffocation, during confrontations that broke out with the occupation forces in the West Bank governorates, today, Friday.

In Nablus, the Israeli occupation forces arrested 12 citizens from the town of Huwwara, south of Nablus.

Local sources reported that the occupation forces arrested 12 citizens after detaining them for hours, including: Zaid Odeh, Momen Odeh, and Mamoun Nael Odeh.

A number of citizens suffocated, and a young man was arrested, during the Israeli occupation forces’ suppression of the weekly Beit Dajan march, east of Nablus.

Local sources said that the occupation forces fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun grenades, and toxic tear gas at the march participants, causing a number of them to suffocate. They also arrested the young man, Karam Nasri Abu Jaish.

In Qalqilya, a journalist was injured by metal bullets, and citizens suffered from suffocation, as a result of the Israeli occupation forces’ suppression of the weekly Kafr Qaddum march, east of Qalqilya.

Local sources said that the occupation forces attacked the participants in the march and fired at them with rubber-coated metal bullets, stun grenades, and toxic tear gas, which led to a journalist being injured by metal bullets, and dozens of citizens suffering from suffocation, who were treated in the field.

In Ramallah, settlers opened fire on citizens' vehicles in the town of Turmus Ayya, north of Ramallah.

The mayor of Turmus Ayya, Lafi Adeeb, said that a number of settlers raided agricultural land east of the town, and opened fire on citizens’ vehicles that were heading to the neighboring village of Al-Mughayyir, to attend a wedding, which led to one of them being damaged, while the citizens were forced to take long detours.

Euro-Med warns of a “severe” increase in settler violence in Palestine

The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor warned on Thursday of the sharp increase in Israeli settler violence in the Palestinian territories, considering that it is “taking place under political cover from the government.”

This came in a speech by the Observatory (based in Geneva) before the United Nations Human Rights Council at its 54th session (which began last September 11 and continues until October 13 of this year), according to a statement published on its website.

The Observatory said: “Settler attacks in the first half of this year alone numbered 1,148, almost equal to the attacks that occurred throughout last year, which numbered 1,197, which indicates an unprecedented level of violence, with an almost complete absence of accountability and punishment measures.” .

It explained, "In recent months, violent settler attacks have caused the complete displacement of seven Palestinian residential communities (without clarifying their locations)."

The Observatory attributed the increase in settler violence to “the inciting rhetoric of extreme right-wing ministers in the Israeli government.”

It continued, saying: "The government provides support to settlers in various forms, especially protecting them from security or judicial prosecution."

It pointed out that "the army's accompaniment of settlers to protect them while they carry out attacks on Palestinian villages and towns reflects the apartheid system practiced by Israel in the Palestinian territories."

It pointed out that Israel "is obligated, as an occupying power, to shoulder its responsibilities with regard to ensuring the safety and well-being of the Palestinian population under occupation and holding perpetrators accountable."

The Observatory called on "the international community to be present on the ground to protect Palestinian villages and towns at risk of displacement, and to take concrete measures to pressure Israel to end its military occupation as the root cause of tension and destabilization."

Last September, the United Nations monitored an escalation in the displacement of Palestinians from their population centers amid “unprecedented levels of Israeli settler violence” in the West Bank.

The United Nations indicated in its report published at the time that “since 2022, more than 1,100 Palestinians have been displaced from 28 population centers due to escalating violence and being prevented from accessing grazing lands by Israeli settlers.”

UN added: "During the same period, 1,614 incidents related to settlers resulted in Palestinian casualties or damage to their property, with an average of 80 incidents per month, which is the highest number ever recorded by the United Nations since it began monitoring these incidents in 2006."

There was no immediate comment from the Israeli authorities regarding the Observatory’s speech before the United Nations Human Rights Council.

Many Western countries, including the United States of America and the European Union, have called in recent years for an end to settler violence against Palestinians in the West Bank.

Israel army arrests Palestinian Minister Moayed Shaaban west of Salfit

Today, Friday, the Israeli occupation forces arrested the head of the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, Minister Muayyad Shaaban, and the Commission’s photographer, Marwan Al-Agbar, in the town of Deir Istiya, west of Salfit.

The Director General of the Popular Action Department of the Commission, Abdullah Abu Rahma, stated that the occupation forces arrested Minister Shaaban and photographer Al-Aghbar while they were participating in the march denouncing the seizure of lands in the “Al-Qaada” area, north of the town, and beat them, while firing tear gas bombs. Aiming at the marchers.

It is noteworthy that the colonists seized, more than two months ago, citizens’ lands in the “Al-Qaada” area, and placed mobile homes (caravans) there, established sheep pens, and built a dirt road, in addition to extending water and electricity networks, with the aim of establishing a new settlement outpost.
